Gotta love Sans Digital & The 'Egg!!
Pros: Purchased the open box version of this card to upgrade another card I purchased from Newegg that had VERY LOW eSATA data transfer rates of around 25-30mb/sec.
Cons: None at all.
Other Thoughts: If you're willing to take a chance with Newegg's open box items AND you are computer competent you'll get good stuff at VERY reasonable prices

Pros: Recognized 5 1.5 tb drives as soon as I plugged them in. Software is easy to use...
Cons: The driver disk that this thing came with is for a different card (the 4 port version). Windows automatically got the right drivers from the net before I put the disk in, so I didn't notice. Before initializing my giant raid array, I decided to check for updates on their website. There was a bios update that was over 2 years newer than what came on the drive. I flashed with it, the card stopped recognizing my drives (but had no issues with windows). Obvious solution is to flash back to the version that came on the driver disk, right? Probably would have worked had the flash file been for this card... No way to reflash without drivers, which cause blue screens since the chip is improperly flashed. Tech support is slow, been waiting 2 days for RMA approval for something that is pretty obviously their fault.
Other Thoughts: Besides including the wrong drivers/bios files, card seemed ok... Sans Digital needs to step up their tech support.
