Pros: 8 SATA bays over USB 3
Decent transfer speeds when it worked
Build quality seems good

Cons: While transfering ~500GB over I had it drop out multiple times. Tried it on another computer and had the same issue.

Our standard testing includes over TB of data transfer. Therefore, we concluded the drop out could cause by 3 reason: 1, using non-standard USB 3.0 cables (Please use the cables that come with the unit), 2, Not enough or stable power over the USB 3.0 port (we can provide a approved/tested USB 3.0 card to test.) and 3, defective unit.

3 out of 5 eggsRMA to the rescue but took to long.

Pros: The case looks good and feel sturdy, basically something that should be good quality. I have a lot of 500GB hard drives after replacing them with 3tb drives. This 8 bay drive enclosure made a lot sense, I also got a Monster HP 7ft ultra high speed USB 3.0 cable. The RMA came in yesterday and all I did was place 8 Sata hard drive and power on the case and plug the USB 3.0 to the laptop. The laptop recognize all 8 drives that mean the case is working properly.

Cons: Now the bad part this is my second case, the RMA was handle wrong . I shipped it back priority mail got to destination in 3 days but then it was not process rush order. It took 5 business days to send me a new one. I was made to pay to have it shipped back quickly then I don’t get the same service back.

Other Thoughts: Now for the so called tech support basically saying that the monster cable was at fault not the case. This case is all hardware if the case does not work then it does not matter what you do to the pc it will not work. Instead of saving money by skipping on a better manual how about including a longer usb cable. When I order a product I want it to work right away. I don’t want to waste my time calling support to then have to shipped back anyway. I email support and they never got back to me, all I got is an email saying they were very busy. I am not surprise with this level of service, you could not Google fast enough for the answer. You could try getting higher quality labor to build your products. I will keep the box until the RMA period expires.

The reason for not included the longer USB 3.0 cables is due to the length of the cables will cause a data loss. We encourage to use the included cable in order to prevent issues of inconsistent data transfer.

1 out of 5 eggs8 bays but only 2 works

Pros: the built is good 8 trays nice shape but only 2 drives work

Cons: 8 sata harddrive and 8 lights go on then 6 lights go off and 1 and 5 are the only two drives that work. when the case only see 2 out of the 8 drives then tech support will not be able to help.

Other Thoughts: the case will be RMA when it comes back i will put in 8 sata harddrive and if i don't see 8 lights stay on then it will be RMA again for a refund. all you get is two chances to do your job if you can't do it then give up and stop wasting my time.
