Pros: None

Cons: The Highpoint Rocket 1144CM PCI Express 2.0 was described by Newegg and by Highpoint as being MAC comparable.
Not so! HighPoint wrote me an email stating that I should have known that this PCI express was no compatible with a printer, external storage, webcam, and a number of other peripheral devices when using this PCI in a MAC!
I challenge anyone to find that statement in the HighPoint online documentation.
I had installed them in my MAC Pro and sorry no refund!

Other Thoughts: USE CAL-DIGIT PCI express peripherals, they work and they support what they make.

5 out of 5 eggs Works EXACTLY as advertised

Pros: Works great. Read before you buy however. Was intended for storage devices only. Will not work with USB hubs. Be sure to order the correct model number for the Mac Pro, there are 3 different models. This is the newest one.

Cons: Does not support sleep mode (prevents the computer from sleeping).

Other Thoughts: This is really the only good option for Mac Pro systems.

3 out of 5 eggsWorks on Early 2008 Mac Pro 3,1 running Mountain Lion but USB disk drives only

Pros: It works on my 8 core early 2008 Mac Pro running Mountain Lion 10.8.3.
My drives benchmarked 5X faster than when plugged into the built in USB 2.0 in the computer.

Cons: The CD that came with the card was unreadable, but I was able to get the drivers from the manufacturer's web site.
The card is not recognized without the driver installation.
Only works with USB disk drives (no to my Belkin USB 2.0 and no to a USB 3.0 hub built into a new Dell U2713 monitor).
