1 out of 5 eggsPotentially a good product, very bad packaging

Pros: Got this product for a network/media rack needs. Seems like a good and cheap product.
Unfortunately this company keeps failing in packing their products. I've read dozens of reviews after buying it, most of them from previous years and thought that they must have learned how to package their products

Cons: Wasted too much time on this product, returning it is also a pain as it's pretty heavy.

Other Thoughts: Will never buy their products again... back to the quality brands.

1 out of 5 eggsBUHLL

Pros: Product arrived late and incomplete. Key components missing - cant stand the rack upright without them.

Box was previously opened a number of times and returned and retaped shut and appartantly recycled into and out of stock at the egg.

If you read below youll see that I probably got the same one the other guy tried to RMA.

I have no choice but to break out the mig welder and fashion my own caster legs and supports from stock steel on my own bloodhy time.

Advice : Do NOT purchase items like this from a place like this that has obviously not RMAed this rack but has returned it to stock and resold it a number of times with parts missing to it customers.

Hey Newegg - nice piece of product management. Did everyone there go to school very long to learn how
to f%#$% people ?

There are other places to buy things like this...
Im holding up a finger newegg..can you see which one ?

Thanks alot.

Cons: useless when not shipped with all parts

makes a darned good anchor for a boat

Other Thoughts: Sad very sad to have an item like this shipped to you under the premise that it is new ( was NOT "open box" item )only to find out it was returned and resold several times ahead of you.

2 out of 5 eggsWish I could assemble it

Pros: Steel rack with casters. Great for small to medium sized office IT equipment. Comes with cage nuts and bolts. The rails are beefier than expected.

Cons: My box came to me missing parts, so I am as of yet, unable to test the rack as a rack. I contacted the company direct about the missing parts, and all they were willing to do was offer an RMA. For most merchandise, this would be sufficient, but for a 50 pound, 6 foot long box it is just a pain. It would make more sense to just ship the missing parts.

Aside from the previous problems, the instructions are about worthless. It appears to have been printed on a black and white printer in house, and the toner cartridge needs to be replaced. It's not like it's rocket surgery to assemble, but good luck if you want to read the instructions.

Other Thoughts: If you get a complete unit, it is worth the money. If you don't get a complete unit, it's not worth the time.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Deal

Pros: *Very sturdy
*On wheels
*Came with 22 cage nuts and cage screws

Cons: Directions for assembly were not the greatest , but luckily this isn't brain surgery!

Other Thoughts: Currently I have have 4 Tripp Lite 24 port Patch Panels (also purchased from Newegg) mounted on the top & my Sonicwall CDP and Linksys 48 port switch located half way down. I'm able to move the rack around easily still to get behind it and work , and when I'm done I'm able to move it back to the corner of my network closet.

5 out of 5 eggsGood rack

Pros: Good and sturdy for a 2 post rack, I like that it's made of steel, since many other options are aluminum. It needs cage nuts for attaching your rack-mount devices, which I like since if one happens to strip out, just replace the cage nut, not the whole rack. It comes with casters, which is nice.

Cons: As I've seen on other reviews, the end of some of the metal pieces arrived a little bent and needed to be bent back into proper shape before assembly, but easily done in a few seconds with a pair of pliers.

Other Thoughts: I couldn't find anywhere before buying about whether this came with cage nuts. Mine came with a bag of 21 cage nuts and 20 screws. I think they're M6, but not sure.
