Depending on the OS (can't speak for Mac) - should work out of the box with anything XP on up for Windows, kernel 2.4 on up for Linux. Apparently the card should come with a CD containing drivers. However, since this is a FAKERAID card, YMMV if you try to use attached drives in *both* environments if using Linux + Windows.
