Pros: I have used these controllers on 2 different PC's (1 for over a year) for RAID 0 Arrays and found that they worked very well. They are an excellent value for the price. They are compatible with both SATA I and SATA II drives (the data rate is still SATA I)
Cons: The only problem I had was with loose data cable connections which seems to be quite common for SATA cables. After putting a narrow piece of electrical tape inside of each end of all of the cables, so they had a firm contact, I haven't had any further problems.

Pros: Does what it's supposed to do. Once the drive is initialized access times are pretty fast, even for an add-on card.
Cons: There's a noticeable delay (2-5 seconds) when accessing a SATA drive connected to the controller for the first time after boot-up.

Reliable after one year

This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: I bought this card for a very reasonable price to run SATA on an older machine, and use the IDE input on it too. The card is very reliable, never stutters on boot or fails to transfer mass quantities of data. I plugged a dvd burner and two 640 gig SATA drives into it.
Cons: It's best not to lose the driver cd-rom as the model number does not correspond really well to anything on the Rosewill site, at least a while back. Also it's SATA 1.5 not 3.0, but I knew that when I bought it. Data transfer is consequently a bit slow.
Other Thoughts: As a cheap add on card for a knowledgable user you can't beat it, and I can prove that after 1 year of 24/7 use it is reliable. 5 eggs for what it is.
