5 out of 5 eggsQuality cable

Pros: It does have a solid feeling. Doesn't feel much different than the expensive ones. Can't beat for this price!

Cons: None, yet.

3 out of 5 eggsGood Cables

Pros: Well made, strong, sturdy

Cons: Short. These need to be longer to fit comfortably in a 4220 w/ a M1015 or other SATA/SAS card where the connectors are on the back end of the card.

Other Thoughts: If these had been 1.5 meter length cables, I'd never had to replace all 4 of them.

Sadly I spent 80 bucks on 4 of these, only to spend 40 on 4 replacements from Mono-price.

Don't skimp on length, get 1.5m for any server racked case and spare yourself some headaches.

5 out of 5 eggsGenuine Molex

Pros: This cable is made by Molex so it's as good as it gets.

Cons: A little expensive

Other Thoughts: If you want a cable that works this is the one. If something goes wrong with your setup this probably won't be the reason.

4 out of 5 eggsProtected SFF-8087 to SFF-8087

Pros: These cables have sturdy Molex ends on them that have a solid connection to the wires themselves. There is also a mesh sheath running over the cables to protect from sharp case edges and fan blades. I've stripped more shielding from more cables with cable channels in cases than I care to admit, so this is a pretty welcome addition. The sheath ends are attached to the ends of the cables with a good bit of heat-shrink tubing, so you could easily remove it if you wanted to.

Cons: The protective sheath over the cables keeps them from making sharp bends, so if your case is tight, or you need to bend cables through a channel you're going to have trouble.

Also, they are a little on the expensive side. Other sites have roughly the same cables for less, but I felt loyal to NewEgg.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works well, connecting between a LSI SAS 9201-16i Host Bus Adapter Card (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16816118142) and a SAS backplane on a Norco RPC-4224 server case (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811219038). I'll be getting more of these to fill the remaining slots.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Cable length seems perfect, no excess length lying around.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case

Pros: Holds 24 drives. Hot swaps. Has Network LEDs in the front

No super bright blue LEDS!

Can be made quiet with some simple fan swaps.
Did I mention no super bright blue LEDS?

Cons: If you got small hands, then connecting the 8087 cables to the back plane will be easy. Otherwise you might want to remove the internal fan shroud to do it.
There are no front USB connectors.
Wish you could do a eATX mobo in one of these..

Other Thoughts: Like a couple previous posts, I swapped out the stock fans. Even just replacing the 80mm ones with some low flow quiets makes a huge difference. I'm still waiting for my 120mm fan mount to arrive so I put the stock 4 - 80mm one back in to start configuring everything, and with the cover on, I was suprised how quiet it was even with those in.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great

Pros: High quality cable. Works well with my norco RPC-4220 case. I ordered 5 of these cables and 3 LSI SAS3081E-R cards (actually i ordered the intel rebranding of this card because it's 50 dollars cheaper) Cable connects firmly.

Cons: none. Does exactly what it's supposed to do.

Other Thoughts: Another reviewer mentioned this cable is a little stiff...while this may be true, i haven't seen many SFF-8087 to SFF-8087 cables which WEREN'T stiff. Using cable ties in the right place more than solve this issue for me.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: The connectors are nice and the cables seems like it is pretty high quality. The cable sheathing looks nice and feels durable. Good price.

Cons: It's a little stiffer than I would like and the description of it being perfect for the 4020 and 4220 is a little misleading. I'm not sure if they make a shorter cable, but it could be a good 4" shorter, maybe more.

Other Thoughts: Snaps in perfect with the Norco 4220 and Supermicro SASLP-MV8. Do not get the SAT2-MV8 from here. Go with the SASLP-MV8 instead. I just wish Newegg carried it, so I could do a one stop shop here!
