5 out of 5 eggsAwesome rack

Pros: Extremely solid construction

Compatible with everything I've thrown at it

Cons: Apparently Norco wants you to buy cantilever shelves for this, rather than standard racks. I'll get around to that, but for now I just stack everything heavy. Light stuff (switches, KVM, PDU etc) is fine just bolted in to the face

Not enough cage nuts

Typical Norco zero instructions, but the assembly isn't hard to figure out

Other Thoughts: The Norco cage nuts are expensive, google around for cheaper ones. Apparently the part number is "Norco SA-2100".

Like all Norco products, this rack is not without its detractors, but I love it. It feels like it will literally never die, I imagine this rack will be a family heirloom that I pass on to my grandkids :)

4 out of 5 eggsGreat product but...

Pros: This is quality built. It is really study and can support a wide variety of setups. I have a couple HP Proliant servers on this rack with shelves and it is beautiful. See Cons for docked egg.

Cons: The quality of the build is phenomenal however it has multiple cosmetic issues. There are multiple scratches on the metal, On the corners of the base and on the underside of the top cross piece of both posts. I just payed $150 for a new rack-mount and to receive it with a lot of scratches is frustrating.

There is also no instructions included but it was really easy to put together so not a reason to dock an egg.

Other Thoughts: I'm disappointed that it had sever scratches. However the build quality of this rack is phenomenal so I have mixed feelings about this rack/company.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat mini-rack

Pros: STURDY- this thing can hold a LOT of weight and the overall "fit and finish" of the rack really impresses me, especially for the price. Love the option of wheels or leveling feet. I'm only using the wheels which roll pretty well even on carpet. Included SOME bolts and cage nuts (see Cons)

Cons: Very heavy, although it's not wasted weight as the unit is every bit as sturdy as it is heavy. Supposedly can't use rails with this, but I generally prefer shelves for support anyway. Also, as others have said, more nuts and bolts would be nice.

Only issue I've had has been the bottom rack space. Due the weld at the bottom of the vertical supports sticks out about 1/4 inch causing anything in the bottom 1U to sit too high and/or misalign the holes. So until I used a file and dremel to clean up the welds, I basically had a 14 and 1/2 U rack.

Other Thoughts: This rack is holding a 4U file server loaded with HDDs, a PDU, a rack shelf, a couple of rack drawers and a bitcoin miner. Perfect for a home work or project station.

1 out of 5 eggs1 star for the product and 1 star for newegg

Pros: None as we could not assemble product.

Cons: Product arrived missing assembly hardware. Contacted Newegg and they let us down. First they checked their warehouse for missing parts, couldn't find them. Then they offered us $25 credit and instructed us to buy the hardware from the manufacturer. The manufacturer doesn't answer the phone. We are a 50K a year customer and this is how they treat us. Created my own RMA for replacement, tried to contact Newegg about shipping label. They won't respond

Other Thoughts: Newegg's customer service has taken a massive dive. Considering shifting my business to other vendor.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent rack

Pros: Sturdy construction, seems like it will hold my gear just fine.
Good price range.

Cons: Disappointed in the packaging. It arrived very scuffed up in 4 places because the feet were not secure in the box, and must have moved quite a bit during shipping. Not too big of a deal. though as 2 of those places get covered and the other 2 areas I have facing the wall.

Also very disappointing that it is 15U but only comes with the hardware to fill one-half to one-third of those slots with 1U gear. It really wouldn't cost much to throw in 20 more nuts and bolts... that would earn it a 5 star rating from me.

Other Thoughts: A simple black and white set up guide printed on one sheet of paper would have reduced the set up time by 1 or 2 minutes. Would be nice...

4 out of 5 eggsSolid Simple Rack

Pros: Solid construction.
Quick to assemble despite lack of any instructions.
Fit my components (non railed components) just fine.
Wheels are good quality (as are the leveling pads though i didn't opt to use them)

Looks nice overall... not as nice as a rack cabinet, but still pretty cool and impressive looking for a home setup.

Cons: No manual. It's not particularly hard to figure out how to put together... but a simple 1 sheet diagram really couldn't hurt. Check out James C's review below for the link to some excellent pics that assist if you are unfamiliar with rack hardware.

No extras of critical screws. While there were exactly enough screws to put everything together, there were no extras of these components... not a huge con, but including at least 1 extra of each critical piece couldn't possibly cost too much extra.

Scuffed/scratched in places. The scuffs were eventually removable with magic eraser, but the underlying scratches and a few other small ones on the corners of pieces are an annoying cosmetic defect.

As others have mentioned the screw holes for attaching the posts to the wheel bracers are hard to get started due to them being slightly painted over. Not a huge issue, only had any difficulty on one of the holes that really seemed to require more force than it ought to, in order to get it started. As some others have mentioned, once you get them going though, it is fine.

Extremely minor issue is that the spots where the wheels are attached stick out more than they ought to IMO. I can see where putting them in a little more toward center would obstruct attaching the posts properly, but there has to have been a way to accomplish both without the wheels jutting out in front/behind the rest of the thing quite so far.

Other Thoughts: Despite the much larger con section, they are all extremely minor, and I still would highly recommend purchasing this if you need a somewhat budget rack for a small business/home.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Rack

Pros: This is a great little rack; very solid and adjustable for small spaces. Other reviewers complained about it not accommodating all widths and depths, but really, if you use the recommended shelves, then you can go as deep as you like regardless of how far apart the verticals are (reverse the dog ears on the shelves, so the extend OUT along the shelves rather than inward).

Cons: Net well suited for railed servers, according to other reviewers. I've not yet encountered that problem.

5 out of 5 eggsI love this and will buy another

Pros: It is super strong steal. capable of holding a 1u mini case with out side or back support. If you are not using super long cases you can move the racking mounts closer together for shorter servers. The holes take standard screw's and nuts from any old racks. The wheels are of great quility and can stand up to all the weight.

Cons: Not sure this is really a con but it's heavy. I'm not sure if it's just my case but there isnt room for side rails, I had to use back shelves

Other Thoughts: I have two heavy steel 4u's fully loaded with 5 harddrives each and 2 1u's. I needed to buy a back support shelf due to the weight of the 4u's but still got the two servers within one bolt of each other. I wish it had a mount for a power strip at the bottom, but since it moves on wheels I can see how that would cause an enegeering issue.
