Sweet!!
- Pros: This is the best budget card I have ever used, it does exactly what is says it will do, it just works. I loved this card so much that i bought four more and put them in my older systems and put new sata drives in them. All different brands of computers of varying age and worked flawlessly
- Cons: Cant cook me breakfast.
- Other Thoughts: Yes Dr, Killpatient support probably isnt very good, but what did you expect, that they would come at your call because you spent a whopping 50 dollars. Also the directions are vague, your installing a PCI card and implementing a simple raid, if you need tech support for that then you dont need to be doing raid in the first place. Also i have found that Google and Wikipedia can answer most raid questions. If you want to do RAID 6,10 etc or something advanced for your servers this is not the card, but if you want to add SATA to your rig look no further.
- Pros: allows older sytems to take advantage of RAID
- Cons: NO SUPPORT from manufacturer. i've emailed them four times over the last month and havent gotten a response yet. instuctions that come with card are very vague and hardly helpful. waiting for their response has caused me to miss my window of opportunity to return the merchandise and get a refund. this is no reflection on newegg in any way. they are awesome to deal with. SIIG will not be getting any of my business or any of my friends' patronage ever again.
