1 out of 5 eggsdidn't work w/ my intel mobo

Pros: Fits ok.

Cons: Started booting fine and passing data through external port with no problems. Recognised optical drive and read with no problems.
Could not boot from optical drive, then would not recognise external drive and finally motherboard would not boot with card installed. Tried multiple slots, including an x4.
Contacted support and they said the chipset on my motherboard was causing the problems. SIIG contacted Intel and Intel knows about the problem and says there is no fix for it.
I am using a z87x-d3h mobo, and this is the problem.(?)

Other Thoughts: I did not buy at newegg and obviously I am sending it back.

1 out of 5 eggsConflicts with Motherboard BIOS - does not recognize drives

Pros: none

Cons: Prevents you from entering into setup mode of the PC's BIOS. Removing the SIIG card resolves that problem. When installed, the card itself seems to be operational, as its BIOS message flashes up briefly during reboot. When the SIIG-provided driver is installed prior to hardware installation, it also shows up in Windows Device Manager. However, it does not recognize any drives connected to it - says no drives are connected in BIOS startup message, and, logically, Windows Storage Manager will not show any drives either. (I tried various SATAI through SATAIII drives, switched SATA cables, etc. without success.)

Other Thoughts: Not recommended.
