Pros: These things are really tough, I get the feeling that I could have put a lot more weight on them if I wanted to. Really great price too.

Cons: I wish the shipping was less, but they are pretty heavy and the package is long so it makes sense.

Pros: Good solid rails that do the job adequately. Universal fit helps save money, especially with equipment that is hard to find rails for.

Cons: Some assembly required. Definitely a two person job to get these installed. Not worth knocking an egg off of though.

Other Thoughts: We used these in our Colo to mount a Citrix Netscaler that Citrix wanted some ridiculous amount of money for the "official" rail kit. These worked perfectly for a Netscaler 10010 2U appliance and saved us $$$.

Other Thoughts: I bought 2 sets of these. I used them on 2 ARK 4U cases.

2 sets of hands would be nice for putting this together, but i did it myself.

Pros: These rails did what one would expect them to do, that is, they went into a standard 19" square hole rack and attached to a standard size rack mount device. Hardly rocket science.

Cons: The flimsy plastic latch is a complete joke. Worse, one of the screw holes for the case I was mounting was right under it. I put in screws but that deformed the latches and I barely got the rails to slide out so I could take those screws out. It'll have to make do with two screws per side.

Other Thoughts: I got these rails as an open box item, which saved a few bucks. Newegg sent 'em in a rolled up piece of cardboard with the mounting hardware and instructions slipped into a crack in the end, where they could have easily fallen out and gotten lost. Luckily that didn't happen. Newegg kinda flubbed up the packaging on this one.

I used these to mount up a former G4 desktop case with Marathon Computer rack mount brackets. Those are rare birds, and I could only find the rail-less basic kit. No problem since generic rails changed it to a slide out setup vs bolt into the rack and take it out to open the box variety. If you look at what they sold for back in the day, it's easy to see why they're scarce and the company is defunct.

Pros: Low cost 24" rails for the budget conscious.

Cons: The plastic release latch lever is mounted right on top of one of the mounting holes (4th from the front). It blocks 3/4 of the hole which makes that position pretty much useless. It also makes the lever just about as useless to use as it is caught on the edge of the hole when you press it up/down. There is a large gap with no mounting holes at the back of the rail. Pity as that's the location I really needed. Had to drill holes to get around it.

Other Thoughts: For the price I can put up with a cheap plastic latch but the hole that it covers should be at the gap at the back of the rail. The instruction sheet shows a different type of latch that looks like would have been easier to deal with but obviously isn't on these rails. Included plenty of mounting hardware so guess I got lucky compared to the last review. In the current photos it is not obvious at first but the "front" of the rail is at the top of the photo.

Pros: Sturdy design. Well lubricated. Very nice. Rated to 85 lbs and I believe it.

Cons: None really...just nice generic rails.

Other Thoughts: These rails are about 1.8" wide...just about 1/8 of an inch too big for a 1U systems (1U = 3 square holes...2 of these would take up 6.5 holes). Great for 2U+ systems.

Pros: Strong
Easy installation
Works on square, round, and threaded holed rack (mine is actually a threaded holed rack)

Cons: Personally I think they short you on the screws, the kit comes with 18 but that leaves you with only one screw per L-bracket to attach the rails, personally I didn’t trust that solution so I went down to home depot and got some more for like 85 cents (no big deal) so that I could secure the rails to the L-brackets with 2 screws per L-bracket.

Other Thoughts: I bought these rails as an alternative to the Norco RL-26 rails which are actually too thick to accommodate a standard width chassis in a standard 19in rack. However, these rails from iSstarUSA are very good quality and could easily be used as cheaper alternatives to other rails. The max safe load rating according to iSstarUSA is 85 pounds and I think that is a conservative estimate. The rails come packaged nicely with all the parts and pieces you’ll need and unlike most the other rails available the installation guide is impeccable with clear and easy to read instructions and diagrams.

Also, I bought 3 pairs of these rails and one came properly lubed, however I have made it a habit of lubing my rails anyway so just a couple of squirts of silicone lubricant fix them right up.
