Pros: It is a well-designed and sturdy unit. Connections are easily made.

Cons: It would not let my 3TB drives be recognized by the BIOS.
Plugging them back in direct to the motherboard works fine.
For whatever reason, beware that these units seem to have a 2TB HDD limit.

Pros: Compact and sleek form. Built in fan. Works great so far. I have been using this 24/7 for surveillance camera recordings for the past month with no problems.

Cons: Cost.

Pros: Fit, function, build quality are all excellent.

Cons: It is not free?

Other Thoughts: Bought this to provide hard drive backup options in my WHS server. It works without a single issue. Highly recommended. I am running a 2.5 inch hard drive in the lower bay and two 3.5 inch, 1TB drives in the upper bays with not a single hickup. Even though there is no claim to being able to support the 2.5 inch drive, it slides right in!

Pros: Fits description. It is the best tool-less, tray-less drive bay I have ever seen.. the activity lights are great. hardware and mechanisms are solid. the fan moves air. It locks. Great overall product. Looks sooo mean too (in a good way).... wish I could give it 4.5 eggs...

Cons: The fan is loud on the "high" setting. When I say loud I mean I can hear it if I put me head near the case. For server or field work this would be no problem. I do audio production so any noise other than the intended source is bad. I just switched the fan to "low" and it still moves plenty of air and I can't hear it at all. I wish 60mm fans where easier to come by so I could change it over to a quieter one. Also the SATA connectors are really flimsy but SATA connectors by design are pretty flimsy and only meant to be plugged and unplugged once or twice.

Other Thoughts: I want anther. So far all iStarUSA products I have bought have been right on.. Keep it up... New Egg is also great...

Pros: Fast tool less install, trayless, three lockable SATA cables, hot-swappable, led on-off option, lockable, two power inputs to power three HDD's, and mostly aluminum construction that fits in a two bay space.

Cons: Fan has slight noise but that's just being picky.
