Pros: The shelf is easy to install. It can be mounted in several different ways to suit your purposes. The shelf is also strong. I have two server units sitting with very little sag.

Cons: None

Pros: Solid Lian Li design, perfect for the home builder.
Includes everything you need.

Cons: Doesn't have cable management features that other larger cases have.

Other Thoughts: Unlikely that rackmount handles will support case in 2 post racks.
Limited fan clearance, check your CPU heatsink height as measured with the mounted board.

Pros: A good sturdy shelf that can be mounted in various directions depending on need. I've got it mounted upside down facing inwards in a four-post rack. The depth of the shelf is perfect to be able to mount networking equipment (switches, etc.) on the opposite side of the rack in the same positions. There's just enough gap between the shelf & other equipment to run cables. Mounted upside down, it takes up the two rack units below the shelf, but there are holes in the mounting brackets I'm planning to use as makeshift rails for another switch that I don't have ears for. Net loss is only 1U, assuming that works out.

Cons: When mounted right side up (so that the shelved equipment occupies the 2U that the mounting bracket takes up), there's a lip around the edge of the shelf, presumably to keep stuff from falling off the edge. Unfortunately I found the lip covered up the blinkenlights on the equipment I had there. Mounting upside down makes the lights available at the expense of eating two extra rack units below the shelf in addition to the vertical space the equipment takes up above it.

Also, could have been a wee bit cheaper and made me much happier.

Other Thoughts: Even with the extra U's taken when mounted upside down, I still have equipment in the other side of the rack at the same level and the extra switch mounted to the brackets. Not that much space wasted, really. Then again I've got a 42U rack in my basement for three servers, so I'm not all that conscientious about wasting U's. Might be a bigger deal if you're paying by the rack unit in a data center.

Pros: Why write a review of a piece of metal? Just to let people know that this works great in a Lack Rack! Three of these fit great in a Lack end table giving just enough room for a great basic network installation (router, firewall, switch, access point) while still keeping everything off the floor. The shelves are a perfect depth as well, leaving room in back for a rear support. Worked out perfectly, and turned what would have been a $500+ solution into a $160 solution. All you need are some #10 1.5" long wood screws and you're set!

Cons: None. Totally happy with the end result.

Pros: It bolts on easily on standard racks. It's currently holding up my UPS and PBX since they're not rack mountable.

Cons: None to report.

Other Thoughts: It's a shelf and does what it's supposed to do. Can easily be installed backwards and upside down to become a KVM platform for the budget minded.
