4 out of 5 eggsMuch better than losse KB and mouse

Pros: Only takes 1U of space. Very short depth prevents interference with anything in the back of my 4 post rack.
Glides in and out easily. locks in a closed position.

Cons: Does not pull out far enough. Function keys are right below the device above the keyboard.
Not very study. Appears to have holes in the sides for better stability, but not sure how to use in my rack.

Other Thoughts: The cable protector is moveable. Should probably be in the middle position. Route the cable inside the U channel, and outside the center hinge. There's 3 pairs of holes in each arm. Use 6 cable ties to secure the USB cable inside each arm.

3 out of 5 eggskeyboard problem

Pros: build quality

Cons: doesn't work proper

Other Thoughts: just installed this and the mouse pad works backwards. i.e. scroll up and screen goes down and vise-versa. installed on server running WHS 2011. i replaced a Habey KM-230B which worked proper. is there a way to change this?

Manufacturer Response:

Can you please contact us so we can troubleshoot for you or replace a new one if the keyboard itself is defective. You can reach us at 909-594-7600 x 107 or rma@habeyusa.com. Thank you.

1 out of 5 eggsCheap Isn't everything

Pros: It's Cheap...

Cons: Well, After little use of this unit it's failed completely twice...thought the first one was just a lemon...It's rarely used in a clean computer room environment at my home where this keyboard is used a few times a year to reboot a Linux Server.

So after an e-mail to newegg without even a response...

I'm off to buy another one from anyplace but here.

Other Thoughts: Buy a reliable one...

this one has failed after less than a few hours of use...

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Price! Did I mention price? I originally thought to buy a Norco KVM/Flip-up Monitor/Kbd combo; this, a KVM with full complement of cables, and a cheap little monitor (with a chunk of aluminum to hang it off the back of the rack) is less than half the price, with enough left over to stick a bluray in my workstation! (Sorry, Norco - love your stuff, have a couple cases with plans to buy a few more - but really!)

Cons: I HATE touchpads - would've been happy to pay thirty more to have one of those little 'pucks' in the middle of the keypad - but - all my servers are mainly intended for console or VNC operation - I can live with it!

Other Thoughts: I thought it was pretty self-evident which way to route the cable, but here's an alternate clue - never push the thing all the way back into the frame, and it ceases to be an issue!

4 out of 5 eggsNot bad. Could be bette

Pros: Fits into the rack perfect. Feels nice and strong.

Cons: I knocked off an egg because it has no rear support. A couple small brackets would have made this unit very strong. The hinge could pinch your cables. Not a high-end unit but was all I wanted for this server.

Other Thoughts: No instructions. It would have been nice to have a diagram to show the best way to route your cables without getting them pinched in the hinge
