File access and transfer speeds are very good, 3-4x faster than USB 2.0. It was an inexpensive solution to collect my smaller harddrives into 1 unit, thereby saving on electricity from 4 seperate external drives. I installed 4 drives, 3TB, 1TB, 750gb, 750gb into the unit. The fan keeps it cool and is relatively quiet. Cons: None so far, I am very pleased with the unit. Other Thoughts: Purchased for around $50 on sale. When they go back on sale I will buy another.
