4 out of 5 eggsGood 5.25" PSU

Pros: Powers my xfx R7 260x DD graphics card just fine. Small compact design. Nice black look matches my black case.

Cons: If you decide to turn of your computer and turn your computer back within 10 seconds or soo, the epower PSU would turn on and then turn back off. kinda weird.

Other Thoughts: My computer has a proprietary PSU.I could not just buy a new PSU because it would not work, so this is exactly what I needed. All you need is a sata to molex adaptor to power this thing on. No problems when putting max load on my graphics card. Overall good PSU.

5 out of 5 eggsAWESOME BUY

Pros: A separate 450 watt GPU power supply for a really low price. I have 2 of these bad boys one is helping power my HD 6970s crossfire setup in one rig and the other is helping power my HD 4870x2s in quad crossfire in my other rig!

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: This is the best solution to multi-GPU setups if you want to crossfire or SLI and you don't have an efficient power supply to power it.

2 out of 5 eggsDidn't last long

Pros: Cheap, and doesn't look bad in the case.

Cons: After about a month this thing stopped powering anything. Since it was so cheap and I used it for a month powering fans and a gtx 580 I didn't bother with RMA. Instead, I scrapped it for the neat little fans and splitters in there.

Also, when I was using it I had odd electrical anomalies that I don't feel like explaining, but trust me, this just isn't worth the headache.

Other Thoughts: The power solution is poorly done, it comes with a pci bracket for the power cord to pass through, it didn't fit right for me and the cord is very short.

I definitely recommend the more expensive version of this.

5 out of 5 eggsStill going strong inside my Mac Pro 1+ years later

Pros: Still running strong after a year +. I don't even notice the fans anymore, I think they "broke in" so I never did upgrade them.

I have a thread on MacRumors.com with pictures of the install there.

http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?p=18661690

Cons: I haven't had any problems with the ePower Aux PSU.

If you only have SATA power connections, you will need to purchase a SATA power to Molex adapter, They are cheap or you can make your own if you have extra cables or adapters laying around.

Other Thoughts: This is now powering 2 Titans Superclocked inside my Mac Pro. I folded 24/7 with these GPUs overclocked to 1200mhz so this PSU handled them no sweat.

I just noticed that these were for sale again so I wanted to update my feedback. January 19 2014. I purchased mine on/around October 2012, maybe earlier.

5 out of 5 eggsPLEASE TAKE NOTE!!!!

Pros: This is a great alternative for those of use who need dedicated power to our GPUs; IF you have a female 4-pin Molex available from your PSU. If not, see the notes below.

If you only have SATA power connectivity in your rig, you will need to purchase this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812400505 in order to make the unit function. Otherwise, the unit will not perform and will seem DOA.

Cons: Unknown at the time, but I needed a Molex adapter in order to connect to my system. My PSU only provides SATA power connectivity.

Other Thoughts: You MUST, I repeat, MUST purchase a SATA to Molex adapter in order for this to function. The unit, even with a dedicated power supply has no power switch. The unit is powered on and off by the System PSU via the 4-pin Molex. Do not order this if you do not order the You MUST, I repeat, MUST purchase a SATA to Molex adapter in order for this to function. The unit, even with a dedicated power supply has no power switch. 4 out of 5 eggsWorks good as intended

Pros: Small and modular design. Allows me to run better graphics card(s) in my Mac Pro that take more juice than the motherboard can supply, which is just 2x 6pins. Having this PSU will allow me to add another 570 to my system for SLI under bootcamp.

Cons: Fans seem a bit noisy inside my dead-quiet Mac Pro. Not loud but audible, especially if I have my side door off. Maybe I'll try and replace the fans with quieter ones. 8pin PCIe connector only has 6 wires connected on the 8pin connector side and the other is a 6+2 connector. Don't know if the other 2 blank pins are a ground as they should be? Cables are pretty thick so it may be a tight fit in smaller cases. I custom built my own cables so I'm not using them anyways. Would be nice to know as I would run 2 additional wires and make them a real 6+2 conector without jumpering the extra 2 grounds.

Other Thoughts: I'm using this in my 2009 4,1 Mac Pro and it's been running for the last few months with no problems at all powering a Palit Sonic Platinum GTX570. This card required a 6 and 8 pin PCIe power where the Mac Pro only supplies 2x 6pin on the motherboard and I didn't want to run an external jumpered PSU.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: Awesome. Doesnt make any noise, hardly any heat. good extra kick of power if you cant afford a massive PSU upgrade to hold you over.

Cons: modular cables seem a bit cheap, but they work.

Other Thoughts: My guess is this would work best in small form factor soultions in PC gaming days past present and future. But I use them in regular size gaming towers just to take a little stress off the main PSU in multi-GPU configs where main PSU is 'just' enough to get by as it is. works out well :)
