Other Thoughts: Our office has a printer that was purchased in 2005 and with each year, the quality of printing has decreased. As of recent, the printer would not print any, ANY color at all. I actually thought I set the properties to print in grey-scale lol.

I tried manually cleaning the printheads, using the cleaning process as well cleaning the printheads with water, and then isopropyl alcohol to no avail.

I came to the conclusion that it's either time to throw the beast out and replace her or replace the printheads ($40 x 4, do the math). I decided to go the route of replacing the printheads and I'm glad I did. I hate throwing out non-critical tech that still works but just needs some love.

Here's to another 24,000 pages, Estimated yield based on 5% coverage on 8.5 x 11-inch paper or 7 years, which ever comes first! lol

Pros: price isnt horrible. quality is outstanding. seperation from the ink is a plus..

Cons: My first printhead lasted three years with light use. Hope this one lasts longer..

Pros: Worked great in my HP CP1700 series printer. Good price ($xx almost anywhere else). Great shipping by NewEgg as always.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: A friend gave me this printer after it "crapped out" (his words). He bought a new HP 9800 series deskjet and gave me this old one with about $xxx worth of ink too. The printing quality looked terrible so I replaced the printheads one at a time. Sure enough this thing looks fantastic. Nice to have a $xxx printer for $xxx investment.
