5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Excellent replacement unit for major brand PC's with 300w power supply.
Doesn't feel cheap or flimsy.

Cons: Not too many connections so I would only recommend it as a replacement unit on a basic machine not very good choice for a custom build. But I bought it for a replacement on my gateway PC so just what I needed.

Other Thoughts: If you have a Gateway, Dell, eMachines, or other major brand machine with a 300w power supply that burns out on you buy this.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: So far so good, no problems, great price and brought my computer back to life.

Cons: had to retrofit a four-pin Molex peripheral power connecter for use as a modern five-pin Serial ATA power connector. This allows you to power a newer SATA hard drive or optical drive without updating an older power supply unit. Just don't forget to order the COOLMAX 6" Cable Model SATA POWER ADAPTER - OEM for $3.99 with it so you don't have to pay for another shipping fee like I did.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent, but lacks connections

Pros: Good price, quiet

Cons: Only one floppy, and one SATA connector! I replaced a friends PSU with this one, and his old 9700 card needed a 4-pin so I had to buy an adaptor in order to connect his floppy too. (yes, some people still use floppies!)

Other Thoughts: A good unit, just be aware of the limited connection options on this model.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat value

Pros: Great value. Moves air well.

Cons: Only has one SATA power connector.

Other Thoughts: I actually bought this for my in laws rebuild. I probably should have bought a higher wattage as the system has 2 hard drive, cdrom, dvd-rw, 8X AGP card and an intel 3ghz cpu. But even with this load this P/S is stable and not too hot.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat replacement PS

Pros: Big quiet fan, no sharp edges, plenty of drive power connectors.

Cons: I haven't found any yet.

Other Thoughts: The parts that fail most commonly are power supplies and hard drives. I've never had a problem with Sparkle power supplies or with Newegg.
