5 out of 5 eggsRock solid for 15 months

Pros: 4 12V rails! This is a must for stability, separating the motherboard, components, and video cards into their own power supplies. If one device faults, it doesn't send a surge through the whole system. 2 rails just for SLI video cards--very nice.

Cons: The Sparkle brand was unknown to me so I felt like I was taking a chance on it. But the other reviewers claimed it was a good PSU. So far, 15 months and no issues so Sparkle is now on my radar.

Other Thoughts: I've had no issues at all with this PSU, it's been rock solid. I always buy a multi-rail PSU. My last one was an Antec which lasted 5 years before a faulty home power outlet

1 out of 5 eggsanother one bites the dust

Pros: Not DOA

Cons: Not DOA, but still defective.

Other Thoughts: Keep trying to get a new PS before old one dies... Got one last year that worked for a month. Got another last month, DOA. Got this one. Defective. Meanwhile, funky old out of date Logisys keeps on keepin' on...

4 out of 5 eggsTook a chance so far so good

Pros: Decent price for the gold cert and specs

Cons: None yet but i am taking a chance on a brand name no ones heard of "Sparkle" but 5 year warranty talked me in to this, that and upgrading from a 450 watt Antec to this because i have 8 core cpu, 3 hard drives, plus more that will just melt a 450.

Other Thoughts: Hope this no name lasts!

5 out of 5 eggs5 year warranty, not 1

Pros: great price for a 80 plus gold and 5 year warranty

the previous poster is correct, and newegg's info is incorrect.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: on sparkle's website and even in the pics provided by newegg , it shows it actually has a 5 year warranty. newegg, please update.

5 out of 5 eggsWarranty and other omissiomns

Pros: 5 Year Warranty...

Cons: A lot unless you know how many PCs are powered by this brand when you buy retail and how long they actually last. I think the wattage is stated on the high side and the amperage is lower than it should be if you do the math.

Other Thoughts: When have you ever been able to buy an 80+ Gold 600-650 watt PSUwith a 5 year warranty for this price?
BTW... I always list my tech knowledge as "average" and whomever I deal with will make up their own minds about me. I don't like listing things like degrees and occupations in an attempt to make other people have a certain opinion about me. :-)
