Dead after 4 months
- Pros: I've been using Enermax for over 6 years now, never had a problem with their power supplies. This one ran for a good 4 months straight, but died today for no apparent reason.
- Cons: PSU Died today after turning the system off and then back on. Previous to this it has been running solid for 4 months straight, only occasional reboots (not actually shutdown, just reboots). Today I shutdown for about 5 minutes and my system would not turn on. I tested the PSU in another working system and still nothing. I'm kinda upset considering this one is only 4 months old. I have a 6 year old enermax still running in an older pc in my office.
- Other Thoughts: Has Enermax let quality slip or am I just unlucky?

Quality PSU
- Pros: Quality Product. I've had this thing running in a system almost constantly for over 2 years now and never had a single problem with it. Have another Enermax PSU with over 5 years of constant use only being turned off during storms and performs flawlessly.
- Cons: None I can think of, maybe the fact that Enermax PSUs aren't cheap but you get what you pay for.
- Other Thoughts: My advice, spend the money on a decent power supply. The $15 500w PSUs might last you a few years, and they might set your system on fire 10 mins after you boot up for the first time and start formatting your hard drive to load your OS, you never know what you're getting with them. It's not worth running the risk (in my opinion anyway) of torching your rig.
2 yr. follow up
- Pros: Relieable. Amps. 32,32,26. Other less conservative companys
rate this kind of amprage at over 500 watts. Single 12v rail. Bang for bucks.
- Cons: None
- Other Thoughts: I have used this power supply through several upgrades.Currently powering a DS4,E8400,X1650 2xHDD and 4x1G DDR800. Under load, for hours on end, the voltage on all rails is stable and the power supply doesn't even exhaust warm air! Cool
