The Antec NeoPower 430 offers super quiet operation and high - up to 85% - efficiency thanks to Active PFC (power form correction). This efficiency factor, along with Antec's innovative "straight-through" airflow path allows the fan to run slower – and quieter – as it exhausts heat from the power supply. As a result, you'll save energy – and money – on your power bills each month. The power supply is backwards compatible with all ATX 12V systems.

With 430 watts of power at your command, dedicated power circuitry delivers a more reliable – and safer – output to your system's components with voltage feedback circuitry and tighter regulation for improved system stability. Maximum, stable power to your CPU is delivered via three +12V output circuits independently of the other components and dedicated power connector supplies energy to any PCI Express graphics card.

In order to reduce cable clutter, the advanced cable management system lets you use only the cables you need to power your system. All of this is backed by Antec's AQ5 5-year warranty.

  • newegg ATX12V v2.2 Compatible Compatible with the ATX12V v2.2 standard, the Antec Neo Power 430 power supply provides maximum power stability to drive the latest Intel and AMD processors as well as other system components.

5 out of 5 eggsSweet

Pros: Love the modular for the price! Use what you need and keep the case less cluttered!

Cons: Nothing I can think of.

Other Thoughts: Bought this to replace a PSU in a friends rig. He's not running anything too heavy and this just happened to be on sale. Love the EGG. Big antec fan also, My setup sits in an Antec 900 (1) and powered by an earthwatts 650, but the 650 isn't modular:( I'll fix that next year :)

3 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: Modular design, low noise emission, relatively good cable sleeving.

Cons: One out of four was dead upon arrival... my first DOA out of many newegg purchases.

Other Thoughts: One again, Newegg comes through with a simple and effective RMA process. Thank you Newegg!

Pros: Zero

Cons: My first product from that did not work. Now I have a RMA experience under my belt.

Other Thoughts: I'm sticking to PC Power & Cooling power supplies like I should have in the first place.

1 out of 5 eggsless than 5 hrs, bye bye

Pros: hmmm....nope can't think of any

Cons: much too expensive for a paper weight

Other Thoughts: I bought this because Tom's Hardware used it for their $625 gaming pc. It was only powering an ATI video card, a HD, and a DVD drive. It gave no warning - just walk off into the sunset. My brother bought the same PS and it to may be a P 0 S. His will periodically have difficulty starting the system.

5 out of 5 eggsI don't see what the trouble is??

Pros: I instaled this in a build for a friend. Selected it primarily because I have used Antec supplies in the past without fail. Also this one was on sale at the time, making it an amazing deal. Honestly, the regular price seems fair, if you can get this on sale, all the better. Anyway, I instaled this on a new Gigabyte AMD 780G based system, fairly loaded, and no problem, clean power, nice and cool, I burned it in for about a week prior to delivery without any issues. Modular cables make a huge difference in your case layout.

Cons: Not realy a con, but it has its limitations at 430 watt, with the single six pin PCIE connection included. It says SLI/Crossfire approved, but I would imagine for less power hungry cards that don't require the six pin connection, say two HD4650's might be good, two HD4870's, probably not a good idea. Now, I feel fairly confident in its ability to run any single card gaming system you can build within reason, by time you reach the fifth hard drive, and a 125 TDP processor, and the HD4870, you would be pressing your luck, keep your build in budget range, use about a 65 TDP processor, Something like a HD4850 card, maybe two drives in RAID, you should be fine with decent headroom on this unit.

Other Thoughts: The negative reviews on this PSU just don't make sense to me. Worked just fine for me. By the way, mine was marked for the current ATX 2.2 spec on the box, so that may of had something to do with it. I imagine the current model should be fine for people doing new builds with modern motherboards that use a 24 pin connection, and the four pin CPU power, the rest is customiseable, but like I said if you need a high power graphics card, you can select one with a six pin connector, if your running SLI or Crossfire, better go with two lower power cards (I don't advise this) Just get yourself a nice high end single card if your a gamer.

5 out of 5 eggsTemperature Sensitive (update)

Pros: Modular. Cables are wrapped. Well made. Antec Customer Support is very responsive!

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: My first review was based on the possibility that the temperature problem was with the power supply. Antec Customer Support and immediately we traded units. The replacement unit had the same problem. I discussed the problem with Antec. I swapped units with another computer that just had a new power supply installed. The HE 430 worked without a problem in the other computer. The other new power supply failed to start the new computer. So, the conclusion is the HE 430 is good and the motherboard in the new computer has the temperature problem.

1 out of 5 eggsStay Away

Pros: Price

Cons: I've ordered 3 of these psu's for replacements in my shop. Of the 4 pc's I've tried to put the psu in only one of them would actually power up. Even then it wouldn't always work.

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet Solid Powersupply

Pros: This supply powers my e8400 Core 2 duo, 2GB DDR2, 8800GT, HDD & DVD-RW perfectly. It is very quiet, and the modular cables are nice. Notice the NeoPower line comes with a 5-year warranty? This is a very well made product from Antech and I will be surprised if it doesn't long outlive its warranty.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: If you plan to run a single video card and don't bother with overclocking, then this powersupply should be at the top of your list. Don't be fooled by the 1200 watt powersupplies - they go 95% unused as wasted energy and heat.

2 out of 5 eggsTemperature Sensitive

Pros: Modular - used in a Silverstone desktop case

Cons: It appears to be temperature sensitive. When the temperature is in the 50° - 60° F range, the system would start for about 2 seconds. The HD light goes on but the power light flashes for a moment. Then the power turns off. If the temperature is in the 70° range there is no problem. As a test, I warmed the power supply with a hair dryer and the problem went away.

The system has not been in production use. It's only been used enough to test the components over a one and a half year period.

Other Thoughts: I finally contacted Antec by e-mail last week, 11/5/2008, but have yet to receive a response.
