FSP Group AX500-PN Max: 450W Peak: 500W ATX2.2 Power Supply

Pros: Good amperage on 12V rails. Does the job. Why pay more. Very quiet.

Cons: cables not sleeved but not an issue for me since you can't see them.Just use some ties.

Other Thoughts: This is a great power supply for a single gpu setup.
E8400 4gig ocz pc8500,p5q,8800gt,250hd,Centurian case.

Pros: Solid rails. Combined 12v rail of 30A. I bought this for very cheap when I shopped around. Almost free reallly.... Nearly 80% efficiency. quiet.

Cons: No PFC, No 80% certification, not really silent. Not really a 500 watt power supply but 450watt. It does not have combined 12v rail of 36A for those who are confused.

Other Thoughts: My Antec SP 2.0 power supply that came with Sonata 2 case just died after 2.5 years. They were prone for death. This new power supply is a tiny bit louder than the Antec although the Antec was nearly silent. FSP tends to over do the fan speeds on their power supply. Easily fixable if you are techie.

FSP are very huge OEM suppliers and sell their power supplies OCZ, Antec, and few others. Their quality have been declining recently but this is the older model based on AX500 bluestorm 1 which they remade. Blue storm 2 is good as well. The newer Epsilon's and Everest models fail many tests while these older models do not.

Pros: Upgraded from No-Name 350W PSU. This Power Supply is quiter, has long enough cables and 6pin VGA cable for my future Video card.

Cons: none, hopefully

Other Thoughts: I dont know but it seems FSP ugraded this model from 2 SATA to 4 SATA plugs. Good for Future Hard Drive upgrades

Pros: Great Psu and extremely quiet and moderately priced.
Very nice solid psu.

Cons: only two Sata connectors.

Other Thoughts: as stted before..it's a 450 watt power supply with 500 watt peak capacity.

Pros: This power supply is an excellent choice in the mid range power supply market. It's not flashy but has solid rails regardless of what is thrown at it. Includes a 120mm bottom mounted fan that is not silent, but very very quiet and keeps it quite cool. The fortron source name is renowned for reliability and this power supply I'm certain will be no exception.

Cons: Only 1 pci-e power plug (no biggie for me).

Other Thoughts: An all around good price for an all around good power supply. Can't go wrong here folks!

Pros: Modestly priced. Appears to handle power demands well and is reasonable quiet.

Cons: Not enough SATA connections

Other Thoughts: Replaced psu in new HP A6050E because one that came with machine couldn't handle upgrade of graphics card from GeForce7500LE to HP nVidia Quadro FX 1500. HP claims they don't make one that would fit, this model fit like it was made for the machine and has been running 24/7 for the past three weeks without any problems.

Pros: Works Great. High Amperage 12V rails.

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: I don't know why more people don't buy these things. I've used 2 of them so far in builds for friends and they work great. The power is great and the price is awesome.

Pros: Wow! I got to tell you I seriously have never heard a power supply that was this quiet. If my monitor is in sleep mode I honestly can't tell if my computer is on now.

Otherwise this thing is rock solid with an Asus m2n-e mobo and an x1950 Pro 512 MB vid card.

Cons: I doubt it would handle a Crossfire/SLI setup. A non-issue for me though.

Other Thoughts: I can hear the small ambient sounds in video games now lol.

Pros: Does everything I need it to.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I bought a EVGA 8800GTS graphics card and needed more power than my current PSU had and this was the cheapest and best PSU I could find. Works great with the card and everything is working fine.
