5 out of 5 eggsMassive Brute of a Power Supply!

This review is from: FSP Group AURUM PRO 850W (AU-850PRO) ATX12V2.92 SLI Certified 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Single 12V Rail Modular Power Supply Compatible with Intel Haswell Certified

Pros: Plenty of cables, lots of tie downs. Great, heaping gobs power, power and more power. Quiet and cool. Quality fit and finsh. I'm VERY happy with this one thus far.

Cons: None that I've found.

Other Thoughts: Probably overkill for the components I'm running but I'm happy. Some lights on her might've been nice though...

5 out of 5 eggsrock solid PSU

This review is from: FSP Group AURUM PRO 850W (AU-850PRO) ATX12V2.92 SLI Certified 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Single 12V Rail Modular Power Supply Compatible with Intel Haswell Certified

Pros: do your homework, technically this is a 1200watt unit re-branded as an 850watt.

will power any amount of video cards, ssd's/hard drives you need with any motherboard short of dual octo cores with 128GB+ of ram and keep the voltage clean and maintain high efficiency even when taxed with high overclocks.

Cons: pricey, and it got cheaper after i got one :P. this the 1000W/1200W are basically the same PSU, so go higher then 1200W if this isn't enough IE a serious multiprocessor server+4 high powered video cards for some serious bitcoin or number crunching. in which case get the 1400W.

Other Thoughts: if your looking for a serious PSU that outclasses the competition, get this or step up at least to the 1400Watt FSP. all the ones in the middle are not really worth the value vs the 850W or the 1400W+

1 out of 5 eggsDO NOT BUY!

This review is from: FSP Group AURUM PRO 850W (AU-850PRO) ATX12V2.92 SLI Certified 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Single 12V Rail Modular Power Supply Compatible with Intel Haswell Certified

Pros: I'm actually rating this a 0 and not a 1 egg

Cons: Well ordered this for a new rig i was building with AMD 8core processor and Asus sabertoothh build, plug in everything hit the power button shortly after was followed by a very loud hum, a popping noise, and smoke rolling off my every pieces of hardware in my computer. In a matter of seconds this piece of **** power supply fried over 2,000 dollars in components.

Other Thoughts: I'm currently working with knew egg on returning the entire system i ordered but its long and tedious since generally you don't send back 20+ things you ordered at the same time.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat

This review is from: FSP Group AURUM PRO 850W (AU-850PRO) ATX12V2.92 SLI Certified 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Single 12V Rail Modular Power Supply Compatible with Intel Haswell Certified

Pros: Great.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: This may have had a plastic scratch cover that was supposed to be removed in the center of the fan. I didn't realize and it was zipping around when I powered it on for the first time.
