1 out of 5 eggsPSU burns its own materials in less than year of use

Pros: None

Cons: The computer where I installed start smelling weird the last couples of months. I didn't pay attention at the beginning because the smell wasn't that bad. But now I can smell the rubber materials burnings. I have tried to return it trough Neweggs site but the psu is not listed in the rma list.

This is what happened when you buy cheap stuff.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Value

Pros: Fortron (FSP) & Sparkle have a reputation for quality at reasonable prices. This powers a highly overclocked system with high-end graphics card along with a slew of DVD-drives, SSD & hard drives with no issues.

Cons: I was shocked how lightweight this thing was, and just how "empty" the insides are when viewed from the fan grille with a flashlight. I'd expected to see larger heatsinks inside, with more transistor banks and such. After all, this thing is rated for 60 plus amps on the 12 volt feed. That alone should require some hefty MOSFETs and a way to get rid of the heat they generate.

Maybe technology has gotten vastly superior since the last 750 watt (Hi-Pro) power supply I bought, because that thing literally had twice the components inside and weighed easily twice as much.

Other Thoughts: To me, weight and mass equals quality, and this power supply appears to be a little short on both.

There are a couple reviews on the web about this power supply, and all reports seem to suggest that the PSU is capable of 750 watts, though at just what duty cycle is anyone's guess. I have a hunch that it will not output all 750 watts for any length of time.

The only thing negatively commented on by reviewers was voltage regulation, in that voltages dropped beyond what the current ATX specifications call for while under load.

Still for the price paid, it's a good deal, and coming from Fortron, this isn't a unit that's going to blow up in two weeks and take all your hardware out with it.

Lots of connectors & plenty of length. Had no problems reaching the furthest components in my massive Xigmatech Elysium case. I would advise against this power supply if you have a small case, as the mass of cables will create challenges in cable management and airflow.

In larger cases, there's plenty of room to hide excess lengths and unused cables, so I didn't consider a modular power supply to be essential.

5 out of 5 eggs"I HAVE THE POWAH"....

Pros: - 750W
- 80+ Bronze
- 4 PCIe 6+2
- SATA Array
- Quiet fan
- Protection Approvals
- SLI / Crossfire Certified
- Long cables

Cons: - Not Modular
- SATA and Molex cables not sleeved
- Long cables (see other thoughts)

Other Thoughts: Been putting this PSU through it's paces since day one with no fails or instability at all. To address the "long cables" in the cons is that for someone that has a mid size case or smaller with nowhere to stash unused cables or no cable management these may make a kinda rats nest somewhere. One thought with this specific model is the Molex cable, i would have rather seen 4 molex plugs instead of 3 and a SATA only because this model has a second SATA set with 4 additional plugs separate from the Array style SATAs, but not really problem just more of a thought / preference. The SATA Array style cable is really nice as well, gets rid of a little clutter around the HDD/SSD's. Overall this PSU is really great, priced well and seems build well. if your looking for a PSU around this price, Watt and not too concerned with having modular cables I would highly recommend this.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect

Pros: Works like advertised
Incredibly quiet
Lots of cables for expansion
Standard Size, fits all cases

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I would recommend this to anyone, not one of those cheap Asian brands that'll fry your whole rig after ten minutes of use.
