i want to be able to switch between two(2) PC's with both having the ability to use the 2 monitors while using the selected PC does this give me that?

Yes, but check your keyboard, mouse and monitor connectors. This product only accommodates PS2 connectors for the mouse and keyboard and only VGA connectors for the monitors (i.e., see the back of the unit as displayed on the NEWEGG website for this product.

I think I need a KVM switch, but want to be sure. I have a home desk top and a docking station for my work laptop. I have two monitors and want a switch to use them for both set-ups. What KVM switch do I need to use both monitors on each computer? My keyboard and mouse operate off a single universal usb wireless. Thanks

I have bought and used 2 of these switches with good results. However, the ones I bought had 2 different connections. One connected using DVI cables which I do not recommend. I do recommend using the one that uses VGA connections. Just make sure to get that one.
