4 out of 5 eggsAverage

Pros: Works right out of the box. Easy to set up. Price!

Cons: See other thoughts for my connection. Changed the resolution on one of the dual monitors to match 50" lcd tv. Cannot correct the issue even when the tv was off. Removed one egg but it still serves its purpose but boss wasn't 100% satisfied.

Other Thoughts: Used it on a dual monitor set up to attach a 50 lcd tv for the bosses office

5 out of 5 eggsWorks very well

Pros: Worked right out of the box. Used to split signal for a monitor and a projector. The image from the projector looks good.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Make sure to buy a cable that will work with this. I used the Rosewill 6 ft. VGA Extension Coaxial cable Model RCW-800.

2 out of 5 eggsNot worth the money

Pros: It does what its made for kinda.

Cons: It made the picture on the monitors fuzzy and jumpy. Ended up not using it.

Other Thoughts: I guess its better putting more money in a device like this to get the better quality or just spend money on a video card that can handle two monitors.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat but...

Pros: This splitter works amazingly well. The image is clear and sharp.

Cons: The splitter overrides your monitors EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) and if your monitor uses a format other than 4:3 you'll need to override your video card driver (I used powerstrip after much gnashing of teeth and many hours of trying) to re-enable your native resolution.

Other Thoughts: A Rosewill 6 ft. VGA Extension Coaxial Cable Model RCW-800 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812119035 cable works perfectly to connect the splitter to your computer.

A note on powerstrip... Before you try to input a custom resolution leave your old monitor connected to get the settings necessary to not watch your monitor fry like LSD.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks perfectly - no complaints

Pros: Works very well - good quality construction, passes clean video and with more than two years in operation has never been a problem.

Cons: Wish it came with mounting hardware. I used double sided foam tape (purchased at Lowes) to stick it to the under side of my desk.

Other Thoughts: Good reliable unit. Highly recommended.

4 out of 5 eggsDoes the job

Pros: Works just great to split a signal between 2 monitors.

Cons: Advertised resolution of 2048 x 1536 may be stretching it. As I increased resolution I started seeing some distortion.

5 out of 5 eggsreally like this

Pros: I've been running it at 75 hz for 6 months; manufacturer's site confirms this is possible. You plug it in and it works. One monitor is 50 feet away (in another room) from the other; both are 17", 1280 x 1024 and 75 hz, bright and clear.

Cons: A little gender bending might be necessary, as the other reviewers said.

4 out of 5 eggsObscure male VGA input.

Pros: See my previous review.

Cons: I forgot to mention, the two output VGA ports are the regular female variety, and make a lot of sense. The one VGA input port however, is male, and requires an obscure male-female VGA cable, or an equally obscure female-female gender changer for a regular male-male cable if you're going to connect your video card directly to the unit. This seems counter productive, and obviously wasn't designed correctly for ease of connection to a video card. Luckily I had purchased a tiny female-female gender changer a week before, and was able to make goo duse of it.

Other Thoughts: See my previous review.

4 out of 5 eggs60 Hz limiation.

Pros: Very small form factor.
Inexpensive.
Good build quality.
It works.

Cons: It would have been nice to know from the beginning that this unit will not output faster than 60 Hz to either monitor. No matter what I do, I can't get a faster output than this. This is dissapointing, and I'd rather have known it before I purchased. This is a big deal for someone who runs CRTs only for their fast refresh rate. This shouldn't be much of an issue for the LCD owners out there.
It would have recieved 5 stars otherwise.

Other Thoughts: I too have this connected to one monitor, and to a projector through a 50 foot VGA cable. The output to the monitor and the projector is bright, crisp, and clear. It is much better than the simple Y-splitter cable I bought before this, and does not lower the brightness of either display, or introduce static ghosting (or double images) as the simple Y-cable did. I'm overall satisfied, and will just live with the fact that my secondary monitor refreshes very slow, and is obnoixious because of that in my peripheral vision. You don't realize how bad 60 Hz is until you have it off-center from your viewing direction.

5 out of 5 eggsUsed with Projector - works great

Pros: Clean, clear, no-hum output
Easy setup - works as soon as plugged in

Cons: No cables included. Would be nice to include a short jumper from computer to input of box. Had to go buy that after I started installing.

Other Thoughts: I used this box to take one output to my computer monitor and the other to a projector in the living room. I cannot tell the difference on the computer monitor from when it was directly connected - preserved color, clarity without any noise problems. Good product.
