Bad extension cable
- Pros: Very compact device that, with exception to the extension cable, functions as advertised.
- Cons: I received the USB Device Not Recognized - One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it. For assistance in solving this problem, click this message.' every time I hooked it up. I found that it worked fine without the extension cable. I've emailed Zonet to RMA the cable so I have yet to see if they stand behind their product.
- Other Thoughts: This is a cost effective solution so I'm understanding about an occasional defective product. Assuming they take care of me I'll be happy with the purchase & would recommend it, but have to give it a 3 because I happened to be unlucky with the cable.
- Pros: USB 2.0 Works fine for most devices. Compact, four ports, powers 1.1 devices.
- Cons: Will not power external disk drives. I have to use a separate power cable (USB) connected to a different root port for my external hard drive to be recognized. The specs say it provides 500mA, but apparently not.
The drive works fine with just the data/primary power cable when connected to a root port.

Excellent Product
- Pros: Works as soon as it is plugged in. Sturdy construction.

Its too bad...
- Pros: Small, slim, very light, and good looks.
- Cons: Cheap build quality, the usb cable (not the extension) on the hub comes loose after a while and stops being recognized.
- Other Thoughts: Its really too bad. I really like everything about this hub, its just too bad the build quality isn't there. Everything seems rock solid except for the usb port cable coming from inside the hub. Luckily, I bought this hub during Newegg's $1 deals a lonnnngggg time ago.
