Pros: Specs read very well.......BUT........
Cons: Unit failed after 3 days in use.......thruput ground to a halt and switch became unusable.....reboot would not solve problem.......
Unit has a VERY HIGH and TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE NOISE LEVEL from its fans.......
Other Thoughts: Quality control seems to be non-existant.....Everywhere I read about the high failure rate of these switches......Also, use of cheap high-noise fans is NOT acceptable.......

Pros: Cheap, works well. I've had 7 of these things for nearly 2 years and they work great in a medium sized network of about 300 nodes, 130 of which are connected to an NEC IPS2000 phone switch.
Cons: The fans in them are absolute junk. I've replaced the fans in all of them with higher quality aftermarket fans. Every single fan has been replaced at this point. Not the biggest problem considering the price.
Other Thoughts: If you have an air conditioned server room, you won't have any worries, but you'll want to replace the fans immediately for any stuck out in an IDF or wiring closet.
