My carpel tunnel symptoms went away in a matter of days (prior to this purchase I had my wrist laying on hard desk wood) thanks to this mouse pad, along with wrist exercises of course. The soft padded area conforms nicely to your wrist offering ample support while using the mouse. The size of the mouse pad is also adequate (using a g400 mouse) Cons: It could look better, but I didn't buy it for it's looks. Not worth taking an egg off, definitely. The surface provides the perfect amount of resistance and doesn't catch on my G500. Though I said "quick wear" in the title I must say that the overall quality is pretty good. Cons: The gel pad wore out quickly. Within a couple weeks of use there was a permanent indentation in the wrist support. It became more uncomfortable than without it's use so I just turned the pad to its side. I don't eat while I'm at the computer but still the pad shows stains and grime. Other Thoughts: I've used this pad quite extensively for the past 8-10 months and overall the product has held up. It may not be pretty after all this time but at least it still gets the job done. That one is widely available at walmart. This one is better because the surface is more slippery. The mouse glides more easily across it.
