5 out of 5 eggsSurprisingly Beneficial Upgrade

Pros: I was skeptical that a mouse pad could make such a difference. I know its expensive but I don't regret it AT ALL. I love this thing. Despite what one reviewer said, there is a drastic difference between the control side and the speed side. It simply works as intended and is extremely comfortable. The large size is a big plus sometimes, just be sure to have enough desk space.

Cons: Expensive.

Other Thoughts: I use a Death Adder mouse and a Lycosa keyboard, which are also awesome products. Big fan of Razer now!

5 out of 5 eggsBest Mouse Pad Period

Pros: Dual sided, strong(metal construction), nice shape, extremely smooth sliding, wrist pad is AMAZINGLY comfortable.

Cons: None yet.

Other Thoughts: If you are wondering whether to get the one with the wrist pad, like I was, get it, you won't regret it. It makes this pad much easier to use and is extremely cmfortable with the memory foam inside it.

3 out of 5 eggsPoorly tested product? Or poorly made design? You decide.

Pros: The mousepad is made of aluminum and has two sheets of what looks like non-slip strips. It is very sturdy and on each side it has 4 rubber feet so when you flip to either "slick" or "control" your non-slip looking sheet doesn't get scratched or ruined. It comes with a gel wrist rest. After 6 months of use and breaking in the gel wrist pad, I have adjusted to the design of the pad I can not recommend it for many reasons. Pretty much this mousepad feels like my Diamondback mouse is sitting on astroglide. I'm sorry to say I will be moving back to a cloth mousepad.

Cons: Now here is the bad part that I disliked a lot about this mousepad. The pad is too big and takes up a lot of room. Perhaps Razer's design team needs to go back to the drawing board and make this the same size as regular mouse pads. The slick and control sides are terrible. The slick side is too slick and slippery which provides no or little control over your high DPI mouse. The control side isn't any better than the slick side and they both feel almost exactly the same. Control is still too slippery and I get a bit shaky when aiming in the FPS games I play. The gel wrist needs time for it to break in and I think it feels like foam. I have felt better gel wrist rests at stores than the gel wrist Razer provides. This one just feels like foam to me and needs to be broken in (kinda like when you buy new shoes). Trust me, it's not the most comfortable gel wrist rest in the world. There are better gel wrist rests than the one Razer provides. The wrist rest just feels too firm to be gel.

Other Thoughts: Sorry Razer, I just can't recommend this to anyone who is going to use it to mainly play FPS games. The mousepad provides poor control for high DPI mouses. I had to cut criss cut patterns on my mouse feet to just get some drag on the control side and even then that did not help much with the drag. For anyone considering this mousepad, I would just find the most comfortable gel wrist rest you can get at your local store and pair it up with a mousepad with a cloth surface. A cloth pad will provide better control and drag with high DPI mouses. It's already hard enough to control a high DPI mouse if you're a new user, why make the surface even more super slick? In conclusion, this product wasn't thought out very well or tested very well before releasing it. I'm not the only one complaining about it being too large. Don't take my word for it. Buy it and try it yourself.

5 out of 5 eggsExpensive but worth the money

Pros: High quality
Wrist resting pad
2 surfaces
Plenty of room

Cons: Expensive
Rather large on a smaller desk

Other Thoughts: I've owned it since 5/10/2006 but am just now writing a review for it. I was taking a huge risk spending almost $xx dollars for this but it's worth it hands down. A wrist rest is 100% required if you do any sort of long term computer ANYTHING use in one sitting. The gel pad does slightly sink down over time from use but hardly, at least not enough to take away from comfort.

3 out of 5 eggsMixed feeling about this pad.

Pros: Solid and durable. Pretty good surface. But....

Cons: I have had this mousepad for about a month now. My biggest problem with it is the wrist rest. I have big hands and im using a Razer Diamondback mouse. So my problem is that I don't have a good grasp on the mouse because my hand is up high and the mouse is so small.
Another thing is the surface. Great respojnse with this the razer mouise i use BUT after minutes of a gaming session my hands can become semi sweaty and it my hand touches the surface the mouse moves over it and doesnt respond well,it kinda skips. thats from the moisture off of my hand if it touches the pad surface. The size is also a bit too big I had to move my keyboard over to the left about 6 inches so my typing and keyboard movent is a bit awkward now. I wish they had a square version of this pad instead of the shape it comes in. Its basically a bit too big for whats needed. As with a high sesativety setting on your mouse you will NOT be using 60% of the surtface.

Other Thoughts: Im thinking of getting a bigger - more full feeling mouse to go with this pad like a logitech gaming mouse. The razer Diamondback is just way too small for me combined with this mouse pad. Good product but just a few draw backs.

2 out of 5 eggsUnfortunate

Pros: It's not a cheap/flimsy mousepad. It's seems durable and well made design and material wise.

Cons: It absolutely DOES NOT work for the Logitech MX400, neither side. Cursor will not move, and the 1% of the time that it picks up SOME movement it skips around.
The wrist rest is also showing signs of of indent even after 10 minutes of trial.

Other Thoughts: If it worked for my mouse it would be a good quality mousepad, but alas it does not. Will be requesting an RMA after 1 hr of searching for a solution without find one.

5 out of 5 eggsBest ever - Buy or miss out!

Pros: Very VERY nice. Excellent quality construction. Looks fantastic. "Speed" side is very silky smooth. "Control" side is smooth as well, but it is gritty and slows down mouse movement for more precise control. However, despite the gritty pad, the mouse still feels smooth on top. The pad conforms, so it provides a very comfortable fit. See other thoughts:

Cons: I don't know - maybe the fact that I didn't have it the instant I started using a computer. I guess its a bit overpriced for a mouse pad...but its worth it - I can't even put into words how much its worth it.

Other Thoughts: Pad not only works with quality mice, but works with any general mice. I left my G5 at my brother's apartment, but I tried the pad with my old Microsoft Laser Mouse, a standard issue Logitech-made Dell Mouse, and my friend's Diamondback, and the pad worked phenominal with all three. The Diamondback felt the best for obvious reasons, but the Dell mouse wasn't far behind. The pad really brought it to life. The pad levels the playing field. The difference between the Dell and Diamondback is pretty significant on most surfaces, but on the pad, it almost levels out - thats how good it is.

5 out of 5 eggsvery nice

Pros: I was very impressed by this mouse pad. I have never owned a decent one until now and I will probably stick with Razer in the future as well. Nice large pad but not too big; fits perfect on my desk.

Cons: Haven't found any yet.

Other Thoughts: The only thing that comes to mind; I wonder how hard it may be to clean. I will just avoid spilling drinks or food on it and worry about that in when it happens haha.
