4 out of 5 eggsamazing!

Pros: no issues, no whine, its gold rated!!! has everything and then some..
Very long cables. perfect for my switch 810 and any atx case.
braided cables.

Cons: not fullly modulare. u can literaly power a complete pc aslong as u dont need a molex. (dont bother me at all i knew it buying it but for 180$ it would be nice)

The braided cables are great BUT..... theres like 3-4 inches they missed going into the 20=4pin........ it could have been completly tight to the plug and i would give it a 5 star.(-1egg)

1 out of 5 eggsCame and Went Quicker Than My Ex-Girlfriend

Pros: Looked good, fan pushed a lot of air while it worked.

Cons: So I ordered this PSU to go with my NZXT 630 case that I recently purchased. Going for the whole "White on White" color scheme. I take it out, plug it all in, everything goes great...until I try and turn it on. The first thing that happened was PSU clicked on, caused all the fans to spin for 1/4 of a second and then turned off. This happened a few more times until it eventually spun up and started working. Throughout the rest of the weekend there were intermittent crashes from direct loss of power to the computer from the PSU and then last night it finally died. On top of that my 7970 fried, presumably from the PSU under-volting it or something else related. The chances of a GPU and PSU dying at the same time seem hardly coincidental. Well I broke out my old Corsair TX650, and after a couple hours of troubleshooting came to the conclusion that both the PSU and GPU were toast. Currently in the process of RMA'ing back to newegg but will getting a refund for the PSU to buy from a different brand. I know this can happen with any PSU but with the price dropping $60 a day after I purchased it to it dying and "allegedly" killing my GPU, NZXT has left a bad taste in my mouth.

Other Thoughts: Also for the fan to be facing down to draw fresh air from the bottom of the case, the ugly PSU wattage sticker faces outward which bothered me.

5 out of 5 eggsMixed Feelings

Pros: Semi Modular, looks good inside my while 630 case.

Cons: The way it is designed is to be mounted with the fan facing up. With it facing down, the ugly specs diagram is facing the open side of the case.

Other Thoughts: I just got done buying $450 worth of NZXT product in the past week and after purchasing this PSU the price went down $40. This is most likely for the release of the v2 of this PSU but it is still kind of sucks to see this PSU go down from $169 to $129 the night after you order it.

5 out of 5 eggsNice PSU

Pros: -Relatively quiet even at high load
-Good build quality, aesthetics

Cons: -Not fully modular
-Modular cables rigid and flat, not sleeved.. makes routing them through the case difficult in some areas

5 out of 5 eggsExceptional PSU

Pros: Quiet, super efficient, like it meets Platinum standards efficient. Super cool, I never hear the fan run. Looks quite nice with my MSI MPower mobo and Fractal Define case.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Dirty power, bad for CPUs, GPUs, and unbeknownst to many, the silent killer of SSDs. (Along with allowing constant defrag and benchmarking the living daylights out of it, you crazy kids.) But in all seriousness, get a great PSU, and ventilate it well, your computer depends on it. This PSU provides exceptionally stable power, even though my current setup uses less than 50% at peak draw.

MSI MPower z77
Intel i5-3570K @ 4.0Ghz (Stable and cool at 4.6Ghz, but why?)
-Antec Kuhler 620 with NZXT 120mm PWM fan.
MSI nVidia GTX 660ti PE Twin Frozr
Mushkin Blackline 2x4Gb @ 1600Mhz/9-9-9-24
Samsung 830 256 Gb SSD

All wrapped up in Fractal Define R4, and it's all but silent.

1 out of 5 eggsFailed within 3 months, NZXT will not send me a replacement

Pros: While it functioned, it was a quiet and cool PSU.

Cons: PSU Failed in under 3 months. Went to turn on PC and it would not start. Tried in different PC's, etc. and nothing. Tried a different PSU and the PC worked fine.

* Sent in my faulty PSU the first week of November, 2012 after getting an RMA form. It is now December 14th and I have yet to receive a response from NZXT, even after submitting weekly tickets asking for an update.

Other Thoughts: I was forced to go buy a brand new PSU (Not NZXT!) because it's been 45 days since my faulty PSU was delivered to NZXT. I will not be buying products from NZXT ever again.

5 out of 5 eggsWhen Function Meets Form

Pros: - Price was excellent when I got it on sale for twenty percent off; bought it along with the NZXT Switch 810 (White) and the colors match very well
- Absolutely phenomenal power delivery with better than most ripple levels/voltage fluctuations
- Single 12V rail design means that the AMPS you pay for are what you get, and no worries about hooking it up improperly
- 850 Watts of >90% efficient power!
- All of the non-Modular cables were ones I needed (I needed the 24pin, 8pin, one of the 2 4pin, all of the SATA, and a total of 3 PCI-E)
- Looks amazing!
- Very quiet and remains very cool; have it fan-side down in the Switch 810 and it never gets above 33C even with everything fully loaded!
- Powers an OC'd 3930K, 2x EVGA GTX670 For-the-Win 2GB GPU'S also OC'd, Rampage IV Extreme MB, 32GB DDR3-2400, 2x SSDs, 3x HDDs, 10x 140mm fans and 4x 120mm fans, MCP35X water pump, 1x NZXT 2meter White LED Cable, 6x UV LEDs, Lamptron FC8 Fan Controller, 2x Blu-Ray Burners, and more!

Cons: - Cable sleeving of non-Modular cables is just the generic see-through Tech-Flex stuff
- Ribbon-style modular cables means that individual sleeving of wires is near impossible (although if you have a full size case, I would advise buying extensions, which you can buy individually sleeved for not much more than bare cables)
- The extra non-Modular cables may be a Pain for some, but if you have an X79 system or higher-end Z77 Board, you will likely need them all anyway
- Not "Platinum" rated even though it meets the efficiency requirements

These are all nit-picky and I had to think hard to find anything negative, and all of them together would only drop it to a 9.8/10 in my opinion.

Other Thoughts: 850W is plenty for even a multi-GPU X79/SandyBridge-E system with water cooling and an overclock assuming that you are using either current or previous gen cards, and I can't speak for AMD 5XXX/NV 4XX cards or prior.

Bottom line: if you want a cool running, efficient, quiet, powerful, good looking, and reliable PSU then you are done searching.

5 out of 5 eggsModular?

Pros: 80 Gold and nice looking with a little room for expansion. Goes great with White NZXT case. SUPER QUIET!

Cons: Modular? not so much it still has cables and in fact you can hook up a basic setup and a little more then that, off the supplied non-modular cables. But by then you start to push the 850 W so no point in my opinion.

Other Thoughts: However if I had to do it all over again there are much more positive's for me then negatives though if you are looking for true modular on a 850 W setup you need to look else where
