5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: Power proportioning, reliability, efficiency, looks, cost.

Cons: Not completely modular; Very long cables which can be positive or negative. Negative for my small mATX case.

Pros: quiet compared to the diablotech PSU I had and a 5 year warranty

Cons: none ...well maybe if you have a small case it would seem like it has very long cables

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Choice

Pros: -5 Year Warranty
-Solid efficiency
-4+4 pin CPU power (though we are fast approaching 8-pin standard, it is nice to have the flexibility)
-8 sATA plugs
-2 x 6+2- pin PCIe connectors
-Floppy connector, if you are into archeology.
-Well packed in closed-cell foam.

Cons: -This PSU has so many connectors, and is not modular, that cable management can be a chore if you did not plan ahead or have a very small case. This is worse for cases with top-mounted supplies or no back management room.

Other Thoughts: Let me repeat: this PSU has a 5-year warranty. The PSU is the heart of your computer, and the absolute worst place to cheap out as cheap, generic PSUs cost more in the long run due to inefficiency, and can even destroy your components if something goes wrong. The warranty proves NZXT is confident in this PSU.

This PSU might actually be over-built for some cases, though, as cable management can be a real pain. Almost makes me wish NZXT had a cheaper model with only 1 PCIe connector, and a few less Molex. But hey, saying you got too much for your money is not really a good complaint.

At this price range, few people are going to use SLI/Crossfire or have windowed cases to show off the white-colored fan. But, it does give you the option if you want to upgrade in the future.

Honestly though, this one might be hard to recommend for mini-ITX cases, or micro ATX with top-mounted supplies, as the cables could easily suffocate the CPU cooler if you do not do some planning and make a good effort to corral them.

Overall this is a fantastic PSU, though: well-built, efficient, with lots of headroom for the price and wattage. Plus, 105 degree capacitors and a 5-year warranty, from a company that has a good reputation. What more can you ask for?

1 out of 5 eggsDid not work. Twice.

Pros: Looks Good, Good price point

Cons: Did not work. I have an old PCU that I double checked all my other components to make sure it was not something else. I tired two of these and neither one would fire up. this is my first build so everything is a learning experience for me now I know a lot more about PCU's. My Motherboard is a ASRock FM2A75 Pro4-M and the processor is a AMD A10 5800k

5 out of 5 eggsGood buy.

Pros: Quiet and fan does a great job of keeping the power unit cool. Also the unit and wires are well built. wires have a good protecting sleeves.

Cons: I wish the wires were a little longer to make it easier to customize the rout of the wires. If you are looking to keep things looking clean and open in a build that is.

But from what I know and see from other units these wire lengths seem pretty Avg. for the normal power unit.

Other Thoughts: Happy with my buy.
