5 out of 5 eggs5 Years and still going strong

Pros: I just wanted to leave a review to let people know that this power supply has served me since 2009. I was looking into upgrades today and noticed that I have had this thing for 5 years. This supply has powered anything from SLI setups to newer cards, to power hogging CPUs. I'm happy with my purchase.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: It's not for sale anymore, BUT I think my experience with this supply says a lot about the Kingwin brand.

5 out of 5 eggsThis thing was a beast

Pros: Modular
Blue LEDs
Looks like an alien spaceship

I bought mine back in 2006 or 2007 and it just died on me last week. 6 years running a gaming computer 24/7 is quite a feat for a power supply, would definitely recommend Kingwin Mach-1 PSUs.

Cons: Didn't last FOREVER.
Sucked up a lot of dust, some stuck to the clear panel on the side that I couldn't get out with compressed air or a vacuum.

4 out of 5 eggsAwsome psu

Pros: Awsome modular PSU for the price! You get what you want for this thing. Modular cables stay in place, and the whole thing lights up like a christmas tree! Powers my Quad Core AMD phenom and 5770, 4 gigs and 1 tb hardrive with no problem.

Cons: The PC1 cord is soooo short it's unbearable. I wonder if they make extentions for these. Since it is so short, I had to force it to go into my 6 pin slot in my motherboard, while my graphics card was in place, and im kind of worried that it wont fit anymore after I crossfire.

Other Thoughts: Other then the short cords, this thing is a definate buy!

5 out of 5 eggsHappy Camper

Pros: Fast Delivery from NewEgg!! Simple installation went quickly. Everything fits as it should and when I pressed the go button, it did! Smooth quit clean power. All my devices like this one. It's great to be back up and running.

Cons: SATA Hard drive cables could be alittle longer for a full tower case.

Other Thoughts: The Fans are very quiet and pass a large amount of air through and out of the case.

3 out of 5 eggsCool but not

Pros: The Kingwin Mach 1 ABT-600MA1s 600W Power Supply is nice, It looks cool and really helps you try and keep your wire management in your case clean for the most part. Its modular design helps you decide which cables you want to connect or not connect. The fans on this unit are smooth and move a lot of air. The blue ambient lighting adds to the cool factor of this unit.

Cons: The Kingwin Mach 1 ABT-600MA1s 600W Power Supply is of poor quality. I found that some of the coupler modular cables do not seem to have good threads to connect the cable to the power supply, I am about to RMA it. I like the basic design of the unit, but the fit and finish workmanship seems to less than I expected. Quilty control seems to be lacking.

4 out of 5 eggsAny suggestions on fan replacement?

Pros: Solid Power, no problems

Cons: Fans are loud.

Other Thoughts: Does anyone have experience switching out both fans (or just the noisier 80mm one)?

Suggestions for a good fitting, quiet replacement fan would be great---and if there's anything tricky in putting it in.

The noise in this thing, while not -huge-, is definitely louder than I would expect for such a nice PSU in every other respect.

4 out of 5 eggsGood PSU

Pros: I love the modular design on this power supply and the rings around the plugin light up. Also the fact that the cables are in a mesh wrapping is a nice touch

Cons: There is only one bad thing i don't like about it and that is the 80mm fan makes a lot of noise. It make more noise than the 120mm fan and doesn't seem to push as much air.

Other Thoughts: I wish they would have just put in a 140mm fan in the spot of the 120mm and remove the 80mm fan like they did with the rest of the Mach 1 series. So if you have a little extra money go with the 700 watt

5 out of 5 eggsfile in the cool category

Pros: Love the modular connectors. Nothing like any other. The lights are a nice touch. As modular as they come. I have installed dozens of power supplies and this one has the best feature set I have ever seen.

Cons: No light switch for the LEDs. A choice of other colors would be nice.

Other Thoughts: This unit is in a full tower case and doesn't have much of a load BUT, it has just survived virtually outdoors in Florida for over 2 summers now. Almost daily use and no air conditioning. Humidity is 99% all the time around here. This unit performed well beyond my expectations and it is still ticking. The dual fans really help keep it cool and minimal cables help the rest of the system.
