4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: i have had this psu for 5 years now in 3 different builds and it runs flawlessly. and i will still be able to use it when i get my evga 980 classified as it already has multiple 8 pin connectors

Cons: the only cons i have are that the blue leds cant be turned off and that the cpu power connectors are a little short for full and super towers.

3 out of 5 eggsDied after 38 months

Pros: Modular cables
Bright, blue LED

Cons: Suddenly died after 38 months, 2 months past the warranty!

Other Thoughts: I paid $175 for this unit in July 2011. I was hesitant about the Kingwin brand because I had never heard of it, but I read some good reviews about them so I took the plunge. This unit was about $35-45 cheaper than a similar Corsair, however time has proven that I lost a lot more than that because now I have to buy another unit (Corsair this time) for a whole lot more!

2 out of 5 eggsBurned out twice

Pros: Worked fine for a couple of months

Cons: burned out rather quickly, RMA was a hassle from the company, got it back dented, worked for a couple more months then burned out again. I didn't want to go through another month without my computer so I just bought another PS from another company and it has been working fine since.

5 out of 5 eggs2 years kickin'

Pros: Best kind of kill is overkill. My whole gaming powerhouse runs on this thing. Runs crossfire flawlessly. Never had a problem with the power supply.

Cons: There was a lot of cables provided, but not the right ones. Cable management is a little messy with multiple ended video card cables.

1 out of 5 eggsFailed

Pros: Pretty, supplied good, stable power while it lasted. 3 year warranty is about to come in handy, I hope.

Cons: Had this on a system I rarely use for two years, I've run it maybe a total of 200 hours in that time, it's my second system and is used only when I have company that wants to game. At about 300 watts load, this thing should have lasted a lot longer.

Other Thoughts: 3 year warranty so I'll see about getting a replacement.

3 out of 5 eggsGood while it lasted

Pros: Easiest installation ever! Very neat and clean how they made this PSU. There are frequent power outage where I am at and this PSU is probably the best thing for those kind of stuff. This PSU protects everything I had in my system. There aren't many PSU that supports the new processors and this is one that can support them and mainly the reason why I got it.

Cons: After a year and half the thing finally went out on me. Like everyone else, if you hear a popping/scratch like noise, it's time you invest in a new PSU because the thing is going to go. I on the other hand ignored it and the thing went out on me. For an 80 plus gold PSU, I expected it last a little longer than a year and half. My old PSU are still kicking it and they're stone age 300w from back in the PIII ages. I swear, they just don't make PSU like the use to.

Other Thoughts: I also have the 850 watts version of this also. From using this PSU, I would not recommend it to anyone building a system with loads of HDD. I'm running on SLI, Phenom X4 and 3 HDD. Originally I had about 8 HDD but this thing couldn't support that many HDD so I had to bump it down to 3 HDD so it can handle it. This PSU isn't bad but I suppose I overloaded it with too many things. So basically if you're just gaming with 1 HDD and SLI, this is perfect but anything else like having Raid, workstations and gaming, I probably look into another PSU. Just not strong enough in my opinion. My 850 watts version of this is still kicking tho but that's because it's only strictly just for a workstation.
