A single high current +12V rail @ 83A design ensures the best compatibility and maximum provision of 12V power to multi-core CPUs and energy-hungry graphics cards.
  • newegg Crystal Cube Modular Plug w/ Power Connector Cable Management System The crystal cube modular connector cable design allows use of only the cables you need and easier cable routing inside the case, resulting in improved airflow and reduced system clutter.
  • newegg Supports CrossFireX/SLI 5x 6+2 Pin PCI-E connectors are included to support multiple graphic cards in CrossFireX or SLI.
  • newegg 140mm Fan with Unique ECO Intelligent Thermal Control System Intelligent Auto Fan Speed Control on the large 140mm fan ensures exceptional cooling performance as well as minimum noise. Moreover, with Kingwin’s special ECO Intelligent Thermal Control System, the fan does not rotate until the temperature reaches a critical point; the RPM of the fan will self-adjust according to the temperature maintaining a linear relationship. And when the temperature descends to a critical point, the fan will stop rotating. This can significantly increase the life span of the fan and power efficiency by reducing unnecessary rotation and consumption.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Quiet

Pros: This power supply is very quiet which is the main reason I bought it.

Also has good reviews from trusted psu reviewing websites.

Cons: Has two cpu connections on the non-modular cables, would have prefered if one or both of those were on the modular plugs.

Other Thoughts: Noticeably quieter than my 850w corsair. This psu is one of the few listed on endpcnoise.com as being exceptionally quiet and it does not disappoint.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid and Dependable 24/7

Pros: Versatile, full-featured, excellent reviews at objective sites, modular cables, powerful at the high end of need, not one single hiccough so far, has a fan for coolness' sake, looks good, not a brand I was familiar with before I scrutinized the reviews but now it is a brand that I brag about.

Cons: Really!: none.

Other Thoughts: I own a PC Power and Cooling Turbo Cool 1200, which powers my first self-build PC, which is still working without a hitch, but when I reviewed my needs for my new build last year this one kept coming up as my necessary cornerstone. Kudos to Kingwin for a winner.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Possible the best PSU i've ever used. the modular use is great. Its powerful, efficient and up to date for use in the most high end rigs. Quite as well.

Cons: Price. But you earn that back in the money you save by using a Platinum PSU.

4 out of 5 eggsBig

Pros: This power supply can put out pretty much anything you need. The fan is really quite and speeds up the hotter it gets. The modular design is awesome my case looks barren.

Cons: This is not one of kingwins led power supply. It does have a switch but it is turning on or of eco power which just means the fan is a little more delayed with its speed.

5 out of 5 eggsno problems

Pros: automatic fan control. i leave the PSU in eco. mode to get rid of the fan until its temperature reaches a certain value. <-- just awesome!

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: 1000W is more than enough for my components. So far no problems with this and i've been running my PC 19 hours every day for about 2 months now.

5 out of 5 eggsAWESOME PSU

Pros: Gives me all the power I will ever use in my current build. High 12v amp rating, good for sli or any high power graphics card. adaptive fan/ or fan on - switch to adaptive fan for less power consumption, fan will only spin when temps reach certain threshold. (I leave my fan on)
Modular (NOT FULLY MODULAR so whoever complained about that, read the description better cause it did say that) all cables can be plugged into whichever port you want them to, they all have the same plug.

Cons: Doesn't light up like some of their other ones

3 out of 5 eggsGood, but - points for not being fully modular

Pros: Decent PSU for dual GFX setups

Cons: Not modular, you'll end up with a lot of extra wires to hide.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Very neat and easy to install. The modular wires and connectors made everything very simple.

Cons: Installed my new psu and my PC booted up but with no display. This quickly changed to it booting up for around 30 seconds. After several attempts I gave up, rechecked my wiring, and then had no choice but to take it to my local Staples to have a tech there look at my PC. After shelling out $70 I have two possibilities: Either the PSU isn't compatable with my motherboard, or it fried my motherboard.

I'll know more in the next day or two as I have the tech try out my old PSU. However I am greatly disappointed with this and not only have I now spent money on this but also now computer diagnostic, and probably a new motherboard. If it ends up working I'll change my review, but I would expect Newegg to compenstate me somehow for possibly trashing my motherboard since I now have documentation that it was installed properly.

1 out of 5 eggsDied after 3 while at idle.

Pros: seemed like it was high quality

Cons: Died while at idle while i was out of room after only 3 days.

Other Thoughts: Tried an antec 1000w platinum..it was DOA tho. It replaced a 13 month old corsair gold psu. Bought 4 of them all died within 13 monthson different pc's. Chinese junk. Im sick of it, I just ordered an Enermax 1000w platinum.

5 out of 5 eggsI am kindly surprised

Pros: I have seen Kingwin here and there but never tried before. I thought it was a gimmick to be honest.
Though this PSU delivers and it does it well so far and in the specs indicated.

Cons: Semi Modular. I am not sure if you can see or not in the Newegg images, I cannot remember but just for the sake of it.. it is not fully modular.

Talking about Modular. Why place 2 PCIe and CPU cords attached to the power supply. It will definitely help people doing sli/Cross and dual cpu MB. But seriously who is doing dual SLI/CROSS and use DUAL CPU slot. Out of the blue, I would assume this accounts for less than 10% of buyers.
Perhaps adding 2 more modular slots would be best?

MANUAL:
I understand cost control, yet, adding multiple PSU into a single manual was a surprise I have never seen before. I must say it threw me off for several minutes until I realized the manual was for multiple types of PSUs. I was like... this is not my PSU, what is that for here...., or, that's not on there... Yes, pretty dumb, I agree. Although I doubt I am or will be the only one in this situation.

Cords lenght:
My PSU lays in bottom front.
I could easily reach the CPU and 24 pins
Although I had to pull the power molex from the NZXT temp controller to reach the PSU Molex modular cord, it was too short.
I had to use 2 Sata powering cords, 1 for each hard drive who are set just next to the PSU in the back of the motherboard or 1 is about 6 inches away and the second is roughly 10~12 inches away but Sata cords are easily 2 inches too short to use only 1 sata powering cord.

None of these are real con to knock down eggs but are clear mentions for users with a PSU in the back of a Full ATX case.

Other Thoughts: Supermicro X9SRA
Xeon e5-1520 w/ Thermaltake Liquid Cooling "Performance".
16*4 (64 gigs) ECC Registered Supermicro DDRIII PC1600
Ati V7900
1 samsung SSD 128GB and 1 Seagate constellation 500 GB
Raven rev 03
