5 out of 5 eggsPlatinum 550W

Pros: Platinum, Babay. This works flawlessly and I wouldn't be able to tell that this was in my rig if it weren't for the fact that I have to use power. The fan never goes on but then again, I guess I don't do too much taxing stuff on here since I don't have a graphics card just yet.

Cons: The problems that I have with this power supply are small and limited. It's an overall great PSU but the cords could be a little longer and the ability for them to be modular as well would have been nice.

Other Thoughts: Once again, this is an amazing power supply. I definitely would recommend it.

1 out of 5 eggsDIED AFTER 3 MONTHS

Pros: The power supply itself was easy to install. The cables were a different story.
Quiet

Cons: The power supply died after a little over 3 months of use.
The cabling reminded me of Medussa's hair! You had to be innovative and find places to tuck the excess cables so the air supply would not be impeded.

Other Thoughts: Look for a power supply with modular cables. Plug in only what you need

4 out of 5 eggsDual PSU setup working great.

Pros: Does exactly what i need it to do in a dual psu setup. paired with a 750w dedicatied to the gcards, this one is running my cpu, motherboard and fan's. Nice an quiet and still have room to overclock if i want to in the future.

Cons: Bit picky with my add2psu module, wanted to be the primary psu. but the psu it's self works great.

Other Thoughts: I have this in a dual psu system, using a add2psu unit. using this 550w for the motherboard, cpu, and fans while i have a 750w for my harddrives and crossfired 7970's.

5 out of 5 eggsOne of the best

Pros: Very efficient. Truly low noise.

Cons: For this price, it could be modular.

Other Thoughts: I am successfully using this PSU to power a very low noise system in Fractal Design Define R4 mid tower case.

5 out of 5 eggsKingwin 550 PSU Platinum

Pros: So far so good, very good price for a Platinum PSU, good number of connector, cool and quiet after 1 week of use.

Cons: "small" mumber of Molex connectors

Other Thoughts: I would recommand this PSU to anyone looking for a decent PSU for a good price.

5 out of 5 eggsA few pounds of Platinum

Pros: High quality overall feeling. I only got it today and I was highly successful in shorting an exposed pin of a fan header... I heard a pop and I thought it was done, but the short circuit protection was up to the job.
I couldn't make the fan spin, so I cannot comment on noise (my system is a stock Core2Duo + Nvidia 430, not enough for this PSU).
It is mounted vertically in a Lian Li PC-C33 with the vents facing outside.

Cons: Cables a little rigid (I had to write something here!), not modular. I found out that my new video card doesn't even require additional power (Asus 430 fanless) so I have plenty of excess cables to route inside the case.

Other Thoughts: Happy with the purchase right now.

5 out of 5 eggsAMAZING

Pros: Runs very quite

Cons: Not Modular, the main motherboard power cord is quite thick.

Other Thoughts: I love this thing, it has like 7 Sata connectors, 4 6+2 PCI power cables, around 4 molex connectors.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat!

Pros: I haven't seen the fan spin up at all yet, even under gaming loads with a mid-range rig (3570k + 7850 in SC2 or D3). There's no way for me to test it myself, but reviews show the stunning efficiency at all load ranges, even super low loads. It also provides excellent ripple and voltage regulation.

Cons: The fan is white and it shows through the top of my case which is aesthetically unpleasant - but much less so than I thought it would be. It's easily ignorable.

Other Thoughts: The non-modular cables weren't an issue for me, as there was space in my case to tuck them away, but can be an issue for some. Plan ahead. They are sufficiently long for Micro-atx cases. (Temjin TJ08-E). I don't have a high end gaming rig myself but don't be fooled into buying a 750-850 or even a 1000 watt PSU. Even a dual GFX card high end rigs will not pull more than 550 watts. Only triple or Quad SLI rigs should consider higher wattage PSUs.

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet

Pros: No noise, fan hasn't even turned on well worth the price.

Cons: Had a hard time hiding all the cables in the back of the case

Other Thoughts: Very very happy with it

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Excellent ! Best PSU I ever owned !

Pros: Super quiet, very well built, clean power and ultra-efficient.
I cannot say enough good things about this power supply. Period!
I hardly use any power with my new-built rig, I couldn't believe it!
I use 3-4 times more with my old athlon single core.
This unit is so efficient, I had to measure it with my Kill-a-watt meter:

3 watts - switch on to power supply, but computer off - (to be expected with newer electronics)
100 watts - max at boot-up but dropped to between 40 -70 watts till boot done
45-70 watts - regular surfing with video, etc.
50-120 watts - Far Cry 1680x1050 mostly highest settings

I have several hundred watts to go before I even get close to 550 watts.. Amazing.

My new rig running at super efficiency:
AMD A8-3870K stk fan
Asus F1A75-M FM1
Asus DRW-24B1ST
Mushkin SSD MKNSSDCR120GB
GSKILL F3-14900CL9D-8GBXL (x2-16GB)
Seagate 500GB ST3500413AS
Win7HomePrem -Ubuntu

Cons: It may be a little big for some cases, NOT for me.
The higher price is NOT a con for me, I am Solar-powered and so ultra-efficiency is watts saved for longer computing times.

Other Thoughts: The nice over-sized fan in the unit has never come on - so far. By using just 150 watts or so even playing games on high, it's apparently below the thermal settings for the fan. Even rendering video uses less than 90 watts. Not a single bit of noise, whine, high frequency buzz, NOTHING.
My house electrical system is probably cleaner than most public power systems depending on where you live, but it still is super efficient on an 1800 watt AC inverter.
Worth every penny for my application, even at today's price...
