1 out of 5 eggsDO NOT BUY THIS GARBAGE!!!

Pros: USB 3.0

Cons: Will not read drives.
Vague instructions, do not say which is the target and which one is the recepient drive when cloning.
No % bar when cloning, just 2 lights blinking to indicate how much progress.

Other Thoughts: I bought this since i needed to clone a hard drive that was dying on me. I bought it because of the price tag, since its the cheapest cloner. BIG MISTAKE, go big or go home. First time booting it up to format the new drive to ntsf so i could then start cloning. So i plugged it in to the computer and it told me to format the drive so i could start using it which i did. After that i plugged the dying hard drive into port 1 and the new one into port 2. I followed the instructions and then it proceeded to clone, or so i thought. When it is 50% done a light stops blinking and another one starts to indicate. After 8 hours, the first light which when stops blinking indicates that its 50% done hadnt, which meant i hadnt passed the 50% mark. Now for 8 hours, it should have finished cloning for what i had in the drive which was less than 50gbs. Both of the hard drives were pretty hot by now and I knew something was wrong so i stopped the cloning. At this time, i just decided to just take everything out of the old drive and transfer to the new drive after i installed w7 instead of cloning. I plugged in the drive in but it would read it. I thought maybe its the drive but i plugged the new one in and it would read it either. I had some spare drives at hand and decided to test those. Wouldnt read them either. I took one last shot and tried my brothers hard drive and it wouldnt read it. I then bought a simple sata to usb cable and it read the hard drives perfectly. The thing is, everything off of the old hard drive was gone, deleted from this world and nothing was cloned over to the new hard drive. If youre looking for an hdd cloner, id suggest you go with any other than this one.

5 out of 5 eggsFast and Convenient

Pros: Very convenient for working with multiple drives
USB 3.0 speed
Handles 2.5" and 3.5" drives equally well

Cons: You have to read the manual first - not a problem for me but obviously a problem for many of Newegg's customers
Requires external 12v power - Of course it does, any adapter supporting 3.5" drives will

Other Thoughts: Set it to JBOD and you're off to the races.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat dock for a great price

Pros: Does what it says it will do.
Price
Speed
JBOD, RAID

Cons: Trick to make it work.
Slots too large, and drives can lean a little.

Other Thoughts: I have 3 of them. Here is what I had to do to get them to work. Switch to JBOD (dipswitch 3 on/up). Turned on dock with drive in, and computer recognized. Did a soft eject, turn off of dock, and placed the dipswitch backdown (all 3 in the off possition), and now turned back on and all works. Did this on all 3 and all of them work.
