Cons: It get awfully hot, I finally decided I did not want to take a chance on causing a problem and got rid of it

Pros: I am a very conservative investor, however, my desktop cpu’s front side dual usb ports decided to fail on me. So I was searching near and far to find a quality product that would provide me a few extra ports, but not cost me an arm and a leg. So I found Kingwin’s 7-Port USB 3.0 Hub and 2 Smart Charging Port. It suits me perfect because I wanted a dual purpose usb hub, one that would solve my lack of usb ports on my desktop as well as providing a way to charge my smart phones, and other electronics of that sort.

I really like the fact that the usb cable that they provide to connect to your cpu measures over 2 feet. A lot of other sellers have a shorter cable for this price range. So for the hard to reach places, it’s nice to be able to extend out the hub. The power cable measures at a length of about 4 feet, so altogether 6 feet of length is perfect for my needs. This particular hub has 7 USB 3.0 Ports, while having two extra IQ charging ports for your iPhone, Note, iPad, etc. I used it and it charged my devices moderately in terms of speed.

I have tested it out for multiple devices, and it seems to function perfectly. The only criticism I have is the fact that it requires a power source, but it’s understandable and necessary because to be able to power 7 hard drives and 2 smart devices would require the power source. Of course I wouldn’t utilize every port all at the same time, it’s nice that if I ever need to, I would be able to. I think it would be nice if they added in independent switches to turn off and on each port, so that you would not have to disconnect and reconnect over and over again, but that’s more of a convenience factor for me.

The following devices worked fine for me: My Western Digital Passport various models, my Western Digital Elements, my Toshiba Canvio Basics, my Western Digital MyBook, My Lexar Jump Drives. I tested the speed transfer rates, and it did measure up to nearly 5.0Gbps for every device that was USB 3.0 compliant. I am currently running the Windows 10 OS. However, I tested it on both Windows 7 computers, and it worked for both systems with no driver issues. Overall, USB hub has a very compact design, so you can mount it to your desktop without causing an obstruction. Once it was plugged into my CPU, it was a simple plug and play installation.

I would definitely recommend this product for anyone in the market for an affordable USB 3.0 hub with the ability to charge a multitude of electronic devices.

Pros: 7 additional USB 3.0 Ports for your laptop with two ports of IQ Charging for fast charge.

If you don't have it plugged into the wall, it will still work however if you want to make use of the IQ Charging then you will need to plug it in

I am very happy with it. I have been using it with my laptop for a while now and it works great. No issues with it , no slow transfer speeds etc. All USB 3.0 ports so it's super quick

Pros: Plugged in and it worked. The two charging ports work well and the rest of the USB 3.0 ports also work as expected.

Cons: None really. Would like a notches in the back to mount to a wall and would like the AC/DC adapter plug to connect at a 90° angle but no big deal

Other Thoughts: Great unit that for me worked out of the box.
