Get Hiper-powered with the 4M580. This CrossFire certified PSU pumps out 580W through 2 +12V rails for a balanced power output even when running dual X1900/X1950 graphics cards. You also get 8 Molex, 4 SATA and 2 FDD connectors, so there are plenty of options for building your system. The P4 and P8 connectors let you use this power supply with today's more powerful CPUs.

The innovative design is fully compliant with the ATX v2.2 standard, and it will also support the Intel BTX configuration. The full mesh case allows the fan to work more efficiently and so it doesn't have to spin as fast keeping noise down to under 20dB under normal load.

You can do better for your money ( update)

Pros: I'm updating my experience with returning the power supply for the secound time. The secound power supply that I tried to RMA was not covered under warranty.I had emailed my problem to Hiper and explained what happened. They gave me a new RMA number and in about two weeks sent me a brand new 680 watt power supply along with a hat and nice carrying bag.
So this company does stand behind what they sell and threw in a couple of goodies and a better PSU for all the trouble I was having.

Cons: none so far.

Other Thoughts: I guess ever manufacture can get some bad product out.And thats most likley what happened here but they were real good about taking care of the problem and that goes along way in my book. I'll give them another chance.

good psu

Pros: Looks nice. Wires are all mesh wrapped. Very quiet. Plugs are easy to handle and disconnect. PSU case is well vented.

Cons: Could use a couple more 4 pin plugs. I had to use 2 power splitters. Not modular.

Other Thoughts: Abit IP35-E, e6850, 8800gts 320mb, Barracuda 7200, 2gb G-Skill 800, Samsung optical drive, 3 case fans.

Good, but failed

Pros: When I bought the (modular version of this...) power supply, it had good reviews on newegg.com. I was happy with the construction, ease of install and quality of power reported by the BIOS.

Cons: Yesterday the power supply failed and now makes a high pitched noise when powering on. The computer restarts after powering on and never fully starts.

Other Thoughts: I thought this brand was good and was confirmed by the stable and good operation for a year... but now - especially after reading the other reviews here - I would look elsewhere for a power supply.

Pros: Hmmm... easy to install maybe?

Cons: I purchased this item when it was on sale, thinking that I was getting quite an awesome deal. Installation went smoothly, when installing the OS, this supply decides to short out. I send it back to HIPER, get a new one, that one doesnt turn on at all.

Other Thoughts: I've since got a completely different brand of power supply, and it works perfectly. I would not recommend this power supply at all. For the price theres much better out there.

Another one bites the dust

Pros: Modular cables

Cons: As with others, this unit died after 15 months. But my PC started acting strangly after less than a year. Often, after putting my PC in Hybernate mode, the unit would NOT turn back on until the unit was completely shutdown for a few seconds through the PSU swtich. I’ve long suspected the PSU to be the cause but I had no replacement PSU to troubleshoot and confirmed.

Other Thoughts: Considering the comments on the RMA process, I might just buy another brand and have this one RMA on the "side" for a spare PSU.
