Hiper-power your system with the 5B680. This 680W PSU delivers the power you need for both the CPU and video subsystem. And it's blue! What more could you ask for. It comes with both P4 and P8 power connectors and is SLI certified up to dual GeForce 8800GT/GTS cards. Active PFC and 85% efficiency help to ensure clean, stable power. The four +12V rails balance the power load. The high power efficiency and large fan mean that the PSU puts out less than 20dB under normal load.

Because you can never have too many USB ports there is an 8 port hub built into the PSU. There is also a separate USB device charger port that will still operate when the computer is powered off.

To help keep your cabling clean so you don't have a bunch of extra connectors hanging around useless Hiper developed the Extender system. The floppy, and some of the Molex connectors are on removable sub cables. All the cabling is tightly wrapped for easy cable management.

5 out of 5 eggsi have use 1000's of these power supplies

Pros: the always worked never had any trouble with them.
only have one fail after a very large lighing hit on the building . it killed the APC and the computer and a lot of other things . it was not the power supplies fault .

Cons: the led light to get it to work with some mother board you had to more a wire . ****note**** all new power supplies have been fix to work with all mother boards. if you have a older ver. of these power supply go to there web site it will tell you what wire to move to fix the led trouble .

Other Thoughts: would have like to seen a modular ver. product in the U.S

but with all the law suit been filed on the makers of modular power supplies over a U.S. patent. they took a wise move to say out of it and not have to raise prices to pay for the people to let them make a modular power supplies in the U.S.

law suit where filed on 18 modular power supply makers as of sept. of 2007 and there still in court over it .

5 out of 5 eggsNice Power Supply

Pros: Nice Power Supply, comes with a toolbox full of goodies you will probably never need, the usb ports on the back are a nice addition, remember one of them is for power ONLY.

Cons: For 10 dollars more you can get a modular. Not really a con.

Other Thoughts: This thing will power a Boss System: Intel 6600 Quadcore, Striker Extreme MoBo, Radeon 4870, Bluray Burner all runnin off of this thing.

2 out of 5 eggsUncomfortably high failure rate

Pros: (1) Good Looks
(2) Power when it works

Cons: Very high failure rate. I own 10 and 2 have failed already. Thats a 20% failure rate. Not acceptable for a lightly stressed power supply with almost no voltage fluctuations.

Other Thoughts: Avoid this power supply. Get something reliable that will not fail when you need it most.

5 out of 5 eggsAwsome PSU

Pros: Obviously the USB ports, and the one USB power port,, Um well it runs my phenom and 2 HD3850's like it was nothing,, I should add that on top of that i am running high intensity Vantec Tornado's 6 of them to be exact, each at 1 amp 12v dc,,, This PSU runs fairly cool for power it pumps out,,, I would recommend this to any modest gamer,,,

Cons: The size of or shall i say length of this PSU was a bit baffling when i first saw it,, I scraped some of the anodized blue coating off trying to fit it in my comp,, but two tiny scratch lines wasn't gonna stop it from kicking power,,,

Other Thoughts: This PSU is Manufactured and developed in the UK according to the booklet,,, Regardless of where it was made,, The Design and funtionality is what won me over,, I love this company now! :)

5 out of 5 eggsusb hub

Pros: Stunning appearance... Clean power.... Innovative... 8 usb ports with "ONE FOR USB CHARGING ONLY" to answer the poster below me. 80 plus efficiency.

Cons: Not modular.. Thats it...

Other Thoughts: If you are looking for a great looking power supply to add to your rig.. Don't look any further should 680 watts be the power you need..

4 out of 5 eggsGood looks and decent performance

Pros: Very attractive finish with reflective color coating and grill chassis design. Decent AC power ripple and DC voltage regulation. Native cable group removes wire/connector failure and problems. Convenient cable group layout and spacing. USB hub can come in handy when everythign else if unavailable or occupied.

Cons: USB hub had a problem recognizing one of my flash drives. The other nine are found like normal. Odd, and not exactly a real problem, but still counts as a con.

Other Thoughts: 80-PLUS certification is a paid service which doesn't do any testing, so I'm glad that Hiper didn't buy into it and raise their product price accordingly.
