5 out of 5 eggsGreat for fanless HTPC

Pros: Powers an ECS KBN-I/2100 (sold here) motherboard, a HD, and a DVD writer.

I took the guts out of regular power supply and put this in it. The screw holes matched up with this, which was a nice surprise.

Cons: None. I hope the reports of this thing's short lifespan are exaggerated. I bought a cheap power supply at the same time just in case.

Other Thoughts: I have this set up in a mini tower. CPU reports temps of low to mid 50s. (Celsius) This is perfectly reasonable. I hope it stays that way in the summer.

4 out of 5 eggslow on power

Pros: Very cheap.

Cons: The "maxiaum" output of 85W may be too low for your needs. Even with the 35W 4130T processor, once you add in HDD, optical drive, SSD, heat sink fan, and other peripherals you will likely be at 100W or greater. Consider the picoPSU line of power supplies (not sold on this site)

Other Thoughts: -1 egg (and probably -500 customers) for teh missppelling.

2 out of 5 eggsWell it was great while it lasted

Pros: It was the perfect little 60w PSU. I used to to power an intel atom board and a single hard drive for a silent super low power server.

Cons: Failed after about 4 months, so i figured it was bad luck and bought another one. The second one came DOA. Time to move on to a different PSU...

5 out of 5 eggsCompletely Satisfied!!

Pros: Only 85watts MAX! :D
-Is powering, A SATA 6.0 2TB Hard Drive,
SATA 3.0 Blueray/DVD/CDROM Burner,
also a CPU Fan running at 1000rpms 3000rpms MAX.
(I Hope to lower the fab speed even more, for better quietness and efficiency.) Not mention I'm running 16GBs of DDR3 1600 RAM, 35watt GPU/CPU i3 dual core, ASROCK Z77E-ITX! This PSU is amazing! <3 Go buy one!

Cons: Gets slightly warm, Still not warm enough to concern me though.

Other Thoughts: I have two, and both still work great! One for my Mini ITX PC and another for a friend's soon to be built PC.

I put one right in my "Gutted" 200watt PSU that came with my Mini ITX case. Fits GREAT!

3 out of 5 eggsprobably good

Pros: Small size. Adequate connectors.

Cons: Wouldn't boot up an Asus e350m1-i with just a solid state drive attached. It's not a demanding board.

Other Thoughts: I never seem to have enough 12V supplies, or 5V, 12V regulated supplies, so this will be used someday. It just won't be used with a PC.

4 out of 5 eggsWorked great for 14 months

Pros: Quiet. Runs cool.

Cons: 12 month warranty
Died after 14 months

Other Thoughts: Got it for inside a Lego-PC with 2 fans, so everything was nice and cool.
Wish it would have died 3 months earlier, but worked well while it worked.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for HTPC APU's

Pros: Efficient
Small
Low heat dissipation inside case.

Cons: Power cable grommet could be removable for better installation options.

Other Thoughts: PCB is about 1.25" x 5.75". Brick is 4.25" x 2.3" x 1.25". I have no idea where Newegg got their dimensions (or spelling)
You could mount the brick inside the case if you hated looking at it.

4 out of 5 eggsre-use in gutted PSU

Pros: installed inside gutted PSU unit that had gone bad. Connected fan to PSU so it ran, put power brick inside PSU housing too and fan keeps it cool (runs kinda hot without this). Works on atom 230 board, atom330 board, and even biostar TA785G3HD mobo w/ sempron 145 CPU & Samsung 1TB 7200rpm HDD (no optical drive) for kids PC.

the mounting holes lined-up perfectly where the old PSU's circuit board's mounting holes were from several different gutted PSUs I tried, which worked-out perfectly except the cables are kinda short. Had to use extension for HDD in Antec P180 case (sweet case).

Removed the 120V/230V switch and wiggled in this PSU's cable that goes to the outside, its a kinda loose fit but it works.

Will be purchasing more of these for this kind of thing.

Cons: Cables too short for custom stuff like this, I realize its intended for a specific case but I had better plans for it.

Other Thoughts: PC is pretty silent with this setup. Great alternative to the uber-expensive "fanless" PSUs that are way overkill (by about 300W) for what you really need - kill-a-watt shows about 35-45W playing 1080p .mkv files.

Reviews that aren't even for this product (the PSU) but for the case its intended for and/or was bundled with when they bought should be removed since they are irrelevant and distracting. Luckily there were only a few of them.

Decided to re-locate the power brick part inside the old PSU's housing so re-installed 120V/230V switch (not connected), cable-tied brick to front grille inside PSU housing and soldered PSU housing's original AC plug's wires directly to brick's prongs instead of using an AC cable - keeps brick cool and all is nice & tidy.
