5 out of 5 eggsNo coasters

Pros: I just finished up a job were I had to copy a master DVD+R DL to these disk's. I copied over 100 disks with out a coaster. This holds true over the years I have been buying Verbatim disks. Yes once in a great while a coaster does come up. But I can't remember when. I use my Brother MFC J835DW to print to the disks. No problems and it seems the ink dries very fast on the print side.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Not much to say. Just a good brand. I have used DVD+R's, DVD+R DL's and CD-R printable/Lightscribe/ and not printable without coasters. I guess I can say after using these for over 6 years I may be able to count on one hand how may coaster I did receive. I have tried other brands and I keep coming back to Verbatim.

3 out of 5 eggsCheaper to buy the 20-disk spindle FYI

Pros: All DVDs are in one spindle

Cons: Per DVD cost is higher than the 20-disc spindle...really?

Other Thoughts: These DVDs work fine BUT if you buy the 20-disc spindle, the cost is $1.35 per DVD, however, if you buy this 50-disc spindle, each DVD costs $1.40.......eh? Yeah, that doesn't make sense to me either.

Needless to say, I plan to simply order 2 or 3 of the 20-disc spindle and save money.

Hope this helps others.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat underside, limited topside.

Pros: Perfect burn every time.

Cons: Price; Not hub-printable; no glossy finish option.

Other Thoughts: I love never getting coasters, but I have to drop an egg for the price ($90 at the moment) combined with another egg for lack of options. Not hub printable, costing a large amount of image real estate in the center. A glossy finish would also be nice, as the prints come out much more bold and vibrant. I know Verbatim has hub-printable and/or glossy options on many of their 4.7GB's and CD's; it's a shame they offer nothing on the 8.5's.

If you don't care about losing a chunk of the image in the center, and price isn't really a consideration, these are golden. Not a bad burn in the box.
