1 out of 5 eggsNot what they used to be

Pros: Past experience has been excellent with DVD's made in Singapore.

Cons: Last batch was made in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Had a 75% failure rate on the burner that previously functioned perfectly. The only change I made was is when I went from a Singapore made spindle I ran out) to one made in the UAE. Kind of hurts when you by 50 disc spindles and most are junk.

Other Thoughts: It used to be that Verbatim was the best and I gladly paid the price. Now it is no better than the cheapest DVD you can find.

5 out of 5 eggsBest you can get

Pros: Zero coasters and speedy burning. Have tried all the rest, including many off-brands, and am sticking exclusively with Verbatim AZO x 1 year +. Is hard to find spindles of 50 at 8x; appreciate your stocking them.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: These are the best.

1 out of 5 eggsDefective product

Pros: One will burn for every 2-3 discs

Cons: Only one will burn for every 2-3 discs

Other Thoughts: Do not order. Verbatim quality seems to have been compromised as purchased in past and worked. Burner works fine with same discs from other purchases so problem with discs, not burner.

1 out of 5 eggsJunk

Pros: 50 places to put my coffee mug

Cons: Extremely high rate of failure

Other Thoughts: I purchased 2 spindles of these discs on 5/22/2014. The first spindle, while not as reliable as the previous Verbatim 96577 discs, only produced 2 coasters. However, the second spindle, has already produced 4 coasters out of 7 burns, which constitutes a 57% rate of failure. Discs were burned at supported speeds (4x and 2.4x). Do not purchase these discs.

4 out of 5 eggsWill See...

Pros: Verbatim DL media.

Cons: Not made in Singapore

Other Thoughts: Just got the 50 pack (97000) after they were on sale from Newegg. They are in branded packaging. They are the newer discs (8X), not the older ones that I'm used to using (2.4X). As a result these are made in United Arab Emirates, not in Singapore. I usually have very good results with the Verbatim DL media, unlike the TDK DL media I got a while back. Those were horrible. So I will have to wait and see how these discs do. I will provide an update once I start burning.

5 out of 5 eggsNever gone wrong buying Verbatim

Pros: Been preferentially buying/using Verbatim optical media for more than a decade. I don't recall a single bad burn or failure-to-read that I can in any way blame on the media.
You generally pay a bit more for this brand but then you do tend to get what you pay for.

Speaking specifically about product ID 97000: I've been through at least 100 of these discs over the last two years alone with most of them being used for work-related activities, and I just bought another 50-pack after having run out yet again.

Cons: Generally pricier than alternative products.

Other Thoughts: You get what you pay for. Accept no substitutes.

2 out of 5 eggs*NOT* Made in Singapore

Pros: - Slightly cheaper than the 2.4x Made in Singapore (MIS) discs

Cons: - Made at the lower quality Falcon facility in UAE rather than the higher quality facility in SIngapore
- More coasters than the MIS discs

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Flawlessly

Pros: This is my 2nd purchase of these discs and I have never had one coaster. I use this discs in a Memorex burner and two different Sony burners for both DVD video and data discs with no errors whatsoever. I highly recommend these for reliability and for those who need a lot of permanent, long-term storage.

Cons: Verbatim's media tends to run on the higher end of the price spectrum but they are worth every penny.
I hope to see some 16x DL DVD+R sooner than later! It takes about 20 minutes to burn a full 8GB disc.

5 out of 5 eggsMade in Singapore

Pros: I got these in the mail after about two days with free shipping and they are the best quality dual layer verbatim discs you can buy. They are also great for xgd3 burns!!

Cons: little expensive, but actually worth it if you need top quality.
