Pros: No coasters yet. I've burnt half of them and they all seem to work flawlessly.

Cons: Many, many failures. There is something going on with these but other than the massive failure rate I'm not sure what it's all about.

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Will not play in any consumer device or late model car stereos that I own, except the in-computer burner they were burned on. Of the package of 50 that I bought from Newegg, at least 40 will go in the trash. And, Verbatim is the name I had always banked on for reliability. No more.

Other Thoughts: The reflective layer on these things is so thin that you can literally read the newspaper through them! I tried not marking them with a sharpie, and I tried putting a white label on them, both to no avail. Try these at your own risk.

Pros: Shiny. I like shiny things.

Cons: All that glitters isn't gold or shiny, but simply coasters - about 50 percent. I read the reviews here about a new mfg for Verbatim's brand name (which I trusted), but ignored the reviews because the price tempted me. I hope someone learns from my mistake. I did.

Pros: It was 8.99 for a spindle of 50 CD-R, a price that at the time of my researching for some cheap blanks, could not be touched. Free shipping always a must. Great value.

Cons: They didn't work. CDs would burn successfully on 3 different CD burners, only play back in on-board CD-ROM drives of computers (would not play on a car stereo, home stereo and a boom box). Correction: it played on the car stereo, but was skipping terribly.

I don't know what the issue was but I had to assume all CDs in the package defective. I contacted Newegg and requested a refund for a defective product which was issued. No surprise there, Newegg is always 5 eggs for customer service.

Other Thoughts: Do not know the true cause of the defection, but may not be such a global issue with these Verbatim blank CDs. Buyers beware, is the advice I give.

Pros: I bought the 50 packs becuase save about $5 or $6 over buying the 100 pack no idea why newegg not give bulk discount. I have never had a bad verbatim disc in over 10 years of buying them free shipping rocks

Other Thoughts: For those who are "CD-philes" and know what C1 and C2 error rates mean, then you know that most "brand name" media are actually re-labelled from OEM manufacturers. The most highly regarded is Taiyo Yuden as they consistently use high-quality dyes with low error rates on writing CD-Rs. I just purchased this item, and I can tell you that these CD-Rs are made from Moser Baer India after reading the manufacturer ID (ATIR) embedding on the discs.

Pros: Great delivery time and no spinners yet!

Pros: Delivered on time. First burn was OK but was a lot slower than expected. The disc plays OK on my HiFi player -- have not yet tried the disc in the car.

Cons: I bought Verbatim this time because I expected the discs to be made by Taiyo Yuden. I have had very results with TY discs (sold under another brand) and wanted their discs again. They have a very good reputation for quality. Well, Verbatim USED to sell TY discs. Apparently not any more. These puppies are made by CMC Magnetics who does NOT have a good reputation.

Maybe these discs will be OK but I have no confidence that they will last. I will not use them to archive anything because of the bad reputation. I am very disappointed.

Other Thoughts: I wish NewEgg would disclose who the manufacturers are for their discs. Then we could make informed choices instead of what we have now.

Pros: Never a coaster from Verbatim. They all work.
