1 out of 5 eggsmisleading labeling

Pros: supports 8X write speed

Cons: supports 12X write speed

Other Thoughts: These report the following:
Media ID: MCC 02RG20
Record speeds: 4X, 6X, 8X, 12X

When I buy media labeled 8X, I expect to get media with 8X maximum write speed. My DVR likes to make coasters out of media supporting more than 8X write speed. I may have gotten lucky, as the first burn with one of these was successful.

Buyer beware, due to the nature of the "Consumable Product Return Policy".

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for picky drives

Pros: Great discs!

- No coasters (other than my own fault)

- Picky drives (mainly a PS2 here) read the disc, no problems.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: The label coating on the disc for the label side made it sound strange when inserting into a PS3's slot drive. Disc still plays fine. I'm not worried enough for this to be a Con....

Bought these to try PS2 Linux, and I like these discs so much that they are the discs I routinely use now.

3 out of 5 eggsVerbatim 4.7GB 8X DVD-R White Inkjet Printable, Hub Printable 50 Packs DataLifePlus Disc Model 94854

Pros: cheap. look nice on the table

Cons: cheap! my first run of 10 only 3 were usable/readable. and of those 3 if you should bend them just slightly, the white top layer snaps off totally FU the disc! i'd say they're junk ! wont print right in 4 different printers. even sharpies dont want to write on them very well.

Other Thoughts: spend more $$ and buy something else. skip these unless you REALLY need a printable surface. would not recommend these.

5 out of 5 eggsVerbatim 4.7GB 8X DVD-R White Inkjet Printable, Hub Printable 50 Packs

Pros: great quality no problems with the dozen or more i have burned. nice white coating for printing , i used colored sharpies they worked great!

Cons: 8x is the only con, all my other verbatim dvds are 16x. so i noticed it took twice as long to fill. but not a real issue for long term storage IMO

Other Thoughts: what happened to lightscribe? i thought those were convenient and pretty awesome. now you'll pay over $100 for a LS burner, if you can find one.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent choice in every way

Pros: These are excellent discs. I've burned content for playback on DVD players on over 300 of these discs so far (most of which I also printed high resolution content on and it looks amazing -- dries pretty much instantly) and they have worked just fine on many models of DVD and Blu-Ray players.

Cons: None (of the 300 or so discs I've burned, only 1 has failed and I wouldn't know if that's due to the disc or my own burner).

5 out of 5 eggsBest printable Dvd's On The Market

Pros: -LONGEVITY, Bought them in '06 and continue to buy, Dvd's and data Dvd's running strong.

- Great surface fro printing, I use to print hundreds of these on my Epson r200 and now on my Epson 810

Cons: Not 24X :)

Other Thoughts: I have found Verbatim to be the best brand for making printable Dvd's, I am a media freak and I have not found a better brand or quality.

5 out of 5 eggsYou Can Print Stuff...ON CDS!

Pros: Seems to take the image well. We put out a ton of these disks and people seem to like them.

Cons: Funny thing, but I would like to know what the exact dimensions of the labels are on the disk. We had to come up with a custom template in our printing program that had to be accurate down to the millimeter and had to figure out the size on our own. We wasted a quite a few disks in the process. SHENANIGANS!

Other Thoughts: They work.
