Pros: I have burned a couple of thousand Verbatim DVD + & - R disc and rarely have a problem. You can usually find them on sale somewhere and you can't beat the value.

Pros: I have nothing but high praise for these DVD's. They always work and I have never had a problem when buring movies.

Pros: These are the only DVD media you should buy. If you are backing up computer files and programs, you have zero tolerance for errors. Burn these disks at 4x for maximum quality. Fast burn speeds are irrelevant if you have too many errors, (or ANY uncorrectable errors). These disks produce significantly fewer errors then the similar Verbatim 16x DVD+R. My burner is a Pioneer DVR 216D. They also burn well in my 4 year old LiteOn burner.

Cons: Not a con but more information. You need disk scanning software. Get Nero (comes free with some drives) or use KProbe which can be downloaded free. Pioneer drives won't scan but I have had good luck scanning with LiteOn (or BenQ if you can find one).

Other Thoughts: Scan your burns for errors to check for bad disks/bad burns based on number of PI errors, PI Failures, and uncorrectable errors (last of which should be zero).

People who get excited about how fast they can burn a DVD make me laugh. I'd like to see how many errors would show up in KProbe on their lightning fast burns.

Other Thoughts: What happened to these discs? I've been using this product for well over two years now. About six months ago I got my first floater. Figured it was due too happen. A few discs later, I got another one, followed shortly by another one. Out of 25 discs, 15-20 were floaters! OK--so I got a bad bunch, right? Point is, for a product that use to be more than dependable, it is not anymore. I have since experienced at least 2 floaters per 25 pack.
Verbatim media to me was a great buy. These now are a good to pretty good buy.
Floater to me was something that happened to other people. Unfortunately, this is no longer the case.

Other Thoughts: Picture is decieving. I was looking for a 50 pack and read right past the fact that this is only 25. The DVD's are in a case that is the same size as a 50 pack and in the picture it's full, but when you get it its only half full... Totally my mistake, I thought I got a real good deal on a 50 pack. BAH.

Pros: I only use these for my movies and have never had a bad disc yet! I have had quite a few coasters with the plain Verbatims. I also love this design! Yes the space is small for writing but for movies you really don't need much, I just write a little smaller.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: There use to be the only one Electronics store I could find these discs but I'm guessing they don't sell them anymore because I haven't been able to find them for several months now. It's kind of a hassle to have to buy them online when you need them right away but I have to agree that Newegg's price beats that store's prices any day!

Pros: These have way less recording errors than anything else I have ever found.

Cons: Worth the extra bucks.

Pros: Looks cool, all working so far, feels high quality.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Have burned 6-7 OS discs, no problems at all. Not finding a whole lot of use for physical media with the size of flash drives these days. :D
