5 out of 5 eggsBest On The Market

3 out of 5 eggs50% failure rate on one box

Pros: I've gone through about 14 or 15 of these cake boxes of 50 and until today only had one coaster. That's a pretty good record.

Cons: I am getting a 50% failure rate out of one box of these. First two disks were fine, then the next 20 refused to load into any of my DVD recorders. Other media loaded fine. After I passed the 20 "bad" ones, they loaded and burned fine. At the end of the box of 50, I encountered another 4 that refused to load. So obviously some sort of manufacturing defect.

Other Thoughts: Can't return the "bad" ones because they are consumables and of course I opened the cake box to try and use them.

5 out of 5 eggsOrdering my fourth spindle

Pros: These disks do not fail. Period. At 36 cents per disk for printable DVD's, it's hard to beat!
The print quality is amazing on these disks, I use an Epson Artisan 50 printer.

    Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I didn't used to be picky about which brand I bought. I had another brand that failed about 1 in 7, so I started paying attention. Verbatim hasn't failed me yet, I'm ordering my fourth consecutive spindle. Think about it: in the past 150 disks, I have had ZERO failures. That's a pretty good average!
And, as always, Newegg rocks - in prices and shipping!

5 out of 5 eggsInkjet Printable DVD Media

Pros: Prints great on the Epson Stylus Photo 1400 I also bought.

Cons: Not Hub Printable. Just learning of the different wording.

5 out of 5 eggsGood media at a fair price

Pros: Burned many a disc with this media and I can't remember the last time a burn failed. I use Memorex CD markers and write the name of the movie on the disk. Works well for low volume home use. Burns right at 16x with default settings.

Cons: The price could always be lower, but here you are paying for proven quality media.

    Other Thoughts: My setup:

    ** INFO : Drive = SATA LG HL-DT-STDVDRAM G - [FW CL01]
    ** INFO : Disc = [DVD-R:MCC 03RG20 ]

Nothing new here... which is a good thing if you just want what works.

5 out of 5 eggsWork great

Pros: Have burnt about half of them and so far 0 coasters. I use these mainly for game backups, but also successfully burned about 10 videos. I don't print on them, but Sharpie shows up great on the white surface.

    Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Be sure not to be running too many programs or using too much RAM while burning, as it increases the chances of the burn failing. Just a little helpful advice. Also, if you're burning games, lower speeds are usually better.
