5 out of 5 eggsAmazing!

Pros: These disks do everything you need of double layered dvds. I have yet to find one coaster and TDK has a free replacement policy. These are as good quality as Memorex and Verbatim and they burn well. These disks work well with burnermax firmware and have no problem writing 8.7GB of data.

Cons: None yet

Other Thoughts: These things were crazy cheap when I bought them. IF you want verbatim you really have to spend the money and these are disks with equal quality at a lower price.

5 out of 5 eggsTDK Great quality!!!

Pros: I think TDK, Memorex, Maxell put out great DVD blanks. I burn a lot of media (DVD & CD), this is still one of the most efficient ways to store files. The biggest problem is what media to use and trust. I recently used 100 (2 packs of 50) of the Optical Quantum disks. Boy, I have never burned so many coasters in all of my time using DVD media. It seemed that every 4th or 5th disk was just bad, had errors or just would not burn. The Sony RW media I used was just as bad (both +RW & -RW). If given a true choice of media's, stick with Memorex, Maxell and TDK. You will have much better results!

Cons: The only thing I would suggest is, to put all DVD's with a print surface. It's easier to label the disks, either with a printer or a sharpie.

5 out of 5 eggsGood

Pros: Good discs, very consistent. Whether I burn them at 4x or 8x, I get scores between 85 and 95 in Nero DiscSpeed (DVDSpeed), usually on the upper end of that range, which is pretty good for a DL disc. That's scanning at 12x. Also gave a few to my buddy for him to test. No bad discs found yet. Discrete logo allows for plenty of area to write on the disc top.

Cons: Not printable, so get your Sharpie out.

Other Thoughts: Burners (all with latest firmware): 2 x Lite-on IHAS124-04 (W), 1 x Lite-on LH-18A1P, 1 x LG BH14NS40.

Burning software: Nero

Disc media code: "RITEK S04 066 (042)"

4 out of 5 eggsMy choice

Pros: Have always used TDK for my 8.5 needs. Always worked fine.

Cons: Wish they would work in the Magnavox DVD recorder.

Other Thoughts: I like TDK so much, I wouldn't even try the sale 8.5's newegg had at the same time I ordered these!

1 out of 5 eggsDisc's Suck

Pros: Price appeared to be good, packaging was a lovely blue and the disc's have a nice pearly finish (which is as useful as a screen door on a submarine) when they won't burn

Cons: Price Sucked as these disc's fail more often than they a successfully written.
On the rare occaision when they are successful the data life span is short as they become corrupted or unreadable in a short while, generally six months. This is the last time I buy TDK DVD+R, as I have NEVER had such terrible results.

Other Thoughts: I always liked TDK DVD+R and BD-R media but because of the rarity of failed burns......until now. I have checked the drives as I have 3 BD-R Drives, 3 DVD-RW Drives and two stand alone Bluray Players and a few stand alone DVD Players and it is not the drives, its the disc's that are bad

5 out of 5 eggsWorks for xbox 360 backups XDG3

Pros: $30 cheaper than Verbatims! and they work :D

Cons: Takes a bit of knowledge and time to figure out how to burn them correctly

Other Thoughts: For those who want to know my setting for imgburn..

I have all my settings in the write tab set to default with OPC ENABLED (*for some reason if i dont check this off at 99% i get an optimal power failure error message and the disk wont finalize*) also make sure smartburn is on and everything else disabled.. fairly simple right?

However.. Make make make make makkeeeee sure that you use MCSE to set Riteck S04-066 to write at 2.4x and not 4x/8x.. if you write at 4x you will have a 50/50 shot of it working or not.

With these setting you should receive a good burn with a nero disk quality score of 95 (which is what i got for the same game on a Verbatim disk!)
