2 out of 5 eggsTDK 8.5GB DVD+RL 50 Pack

Pros: Price and rated burning speed.

Cons: Of the first 25 discs I have used 8 would not burn on a Pioneer 207 and/or 209 Blu-Ray Burners. I also had them fail on Sony DVD Burners. At least 4 of the discs that that did burn "OK" would not play on an OPPO Blu-Ray player or an OPPO DVD player or a Sony Blu-Ray player. I don't know how many more will turn up bad but they are highly suspect.

Other Thoughts: I use TDK 50 GB and 25 GB 2x Blu-Ray rewritable disks all the time and never had a problem. I thought I would try the DVD DL disks one more time based on price - big mistake. I'm back using Verbatim DVD DL 8x discs and all is well. You get what you pay for unfortunately.

3 out of 5 eggsTDK DVDR DL

Pros: Since WHEN are DVD DL's so expensive? I've bought 100 disc spindles for the price they are charging for a 50 pack many times in the past! & name brand too! Memorex, HP, Maxell, etc.
I mean.....Seriously?!?!

Other Thoughts: Only writing this here because the site will not let me "ASK A Question" despite being logged into my account! No clue what that's all about! It worked for me before!

2 out of 5 eggsTDK 61611

Pros: 25 disc pack was Ritek media. Good results.

Cons: 50 pack media is CMCMAG D03. Not as good.

Other Thoughts: No way to tell the media until you get the discs. Buyer beware.

5 out of 5 eggs200+ Discs Only One Coaster

Pros: Consistent, Reliable, Competitively Priced. I Clone my DVD movies using SlySoft's Amazing Software. Cloning the entire disc ~will compress onto a 4.7 disc, but quality must suffer somewhat. April paid 18.74 for these after promo code shipped via Premier ( well worth the price, besides free rushed shipping, free UPS returns, and zero restocking fees a great deal. I purchased a heavy printer, had buyers remorse and returned it. They paid to ship it to me, paid for return shipping of. 24lbs, no questions asked. That one return paid for the one years membership, bit I degrees ). These are reliable, I always burn at the slow 2.4 speed. I'm patient, it only takes about 13 minutes for 8gb, and will pay that price for not creating coasters. Patience people, patience.

Cons: Not as cheap vs BD, Not Free

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing!

Pros: These disks do everything you need of double layered dvds. I have yet to find one coaster and TDK has a free replacement policy. These are as good quality as Memorex and Verbatim and they burn well. These disks work well with burnermax firmware and have no problem writing 8.7GB of data.

Cons: None yet

Other Thoughts: These things were crazy cheap when I bought them. IF you want verbatim you really have to spend the money and these are disks with equal quality at a lower price.

5 out of 5 eggsTDK Great quality!!!

Pros: I think TDK, Memorex, Maxell put out great DVD blanks. I burn a lot of media (DVD & CD), this is still one of the most efficient ways to store files. The biggest problem is what media to use and trust. I recently used 100 (2 packs of 50) of the Optical Quantum disks. Boy, I have never burned so many coasters in all of my time using DVD media. It seemed that every 4th or 5th disk was just bad, had errors or just would not burn. The Sony RW media I used was just as bad (both +RW & -RW). If given a true choice of media's, stick with Memorex, Maxell and TDK. You will have much better results!

Cons: The only thing I would suggest is, to put all DVD's with a print surface. It's easier to label the disks, either with a printer or a sharpie.
