Any time I need blank discs I look for TDK now. Cons: Absolutely none! Other Thoughts: The only time I've ever burned out "coasters" with any disc was if I had settings too high. When a burn results in coaster, simply lower the burn rate. I'd rather wait another 30-60 seconds or so for the burn to complete than to have the disc end up being wasted. Cons: Only on Newegg's end. The cake came busted open in the shipping case on its side. They need to use styrofoam blocks in the box instead of that horrid paper. Pros: Clean, uncluttered face that's easy to label b/c it's not covered in a bunch of brand labeling. Plenty of space. And that is literally it for the Pros. Cons: Worst discs I've ever purchased. Not "coasters" per se. The discs burned. You could watch the videos...but EVERY one of them froze and/or skipped. At one point, I went to burn a disc and put a blank in the drive. The drive just kept blinking like it couldn't read the disc...that's right, couldn't read the BLANK DISC. I figured it just need a nice shut down/reboot, which I gave it. After rebooting the computer, i again put in the same fresh-from-the-spindle blank TDK 4.7GB 16X DVD+R disc, and again, the drive just blinked and blinked like it was having a freaking seizure at having to deal with this junky disc again. I began to think that perhaps the drive itself was dying. So I popped in a Sony blank DVD, and BAM! It recognized it immediately, and I burned a successful disc w/o skips or freezes in no time. These TDK discs are freaking TERRIBLE. Don't waste your money. Out of the eight or so discs I burned, 6 were junk. Just keep walking. friend. 0 out of 1 people found this review helpful. Did you?
